I haven't seen the Bahnhof Zoo movie yet, but I do like to believe that it is far better than this one. It can't be called a classic for nothing now, can it? Well while this claims to be an "update" (see tag line), the people portrayed in here leave you colder than a beer right out of the fridge.
Of course you can see that they aren't really actors, but people from the streets, who might still have similar (drug) problems, than the characters they portray. But while they obviously do know, what some things feel like, they cannot convey that feeling on screen. Mixing that with poor editing, direction and story/plot holes, the movie-"experience" does lack quite a bit ... Again, I could've given it some extra points for the noble cause it tries to achieve (spotlighting a troubled youth on the streets), but from a film point of view, this does not deserve it. I know that quite a few will disagree with me, but that's the way I feel
