Here it is. The episode that the fans of the original series were waiting for. And I must say, it did not disappoint. The highlight of the entire episode is most definitely the scenes with the original Ducks. The stuff with the Don't Bothers was a little weak. A lot of stuff that we could see coming and is going to cause turmoil within the team but will ultimately get resolved. However, the stuff involving all the original Ducks made up for that. We get to find out what's been going on with some beloved characters (Connie, Guy, Banks, Averman). I always thought if there was one player who would go all the way and make it to the NHL, it would be Banks, but instead we find out that he's a public defender. We had a little name drop with Charlie but nothing else for the original characters not in the episode. I truly hope we get more cameos like this.

This episode was perfect! Bringing back some of the original Ducks was amazing. I love how they redid some of the iconic scenes from the original movies like the "Flying V" as the Ducks were walking into the Ducks Galla, and when Aberman drove the Limo on the ice just like the beginning of the first movie.

Not only was this episode great due to all the throwbacks, it was just a great episode all around, the best episode by far.

"Spirit of the Ducks"

20/10 - brilliant.

I am a child of the 90's and my love of hockey came from the Mighty Ducks movies, so imagine my delight when, six episodes in to the Disney + spin-off, many of the movie's cast return for an episode to assist Coach Bombay and his new team.

No Charlie Conway (which is a great shame, but the Duck star is mentioned) reappearance but Fulton Reed, Lester Averman, Guy Germaine, Adam Banks, Connie Moreau and Ken Wu all return (for a Spirit of the Ducks 25th Anniversary Gala) and find themselves metaphorically and literally lacing up the skates.

Fulton's introduction to this episode is a brilliant nod to the original films.

The limo scene with Averman was perfect.

We learn that the Ducks of old have all gone on to post-hockey careers that fit their personalities perfectly.

Not for the first time, the OG Ducks teach Bombay a lesson in life and humility.

What a brilliant rush of 90's childhood nostalgia.

Those jerseys, those names, the memories they evoked...hard for me to accurately describe how I felt watching it. Didn't want the episode to end.

Bringing the original Ducks back was good, but the episode was both funny and heartwarming here.
