What might be called a modern fairy tale
The love tyrant is Cupid and the part is taken by a pretty little boy or girl with butterfly wings and a bow and quiver full of arrows. The story is what might be called a modern fairy tale, mixing a poetic conceit with realism. Cupid finds two lovers, harnesses them with long, white silk ribbons like a team, and drives them to the piazza steps, arm in arm, and very well content with each other. By this time each is shown full of arrows. After the two are married they have the usual little falling out. Cupid is in despair for a moment or two; but, going out, brings in a charming baby and sets it down on the table between the young husband and wife. The baby comes in smiling, but is frightened and begins to cry. The two comfort him and this ending scene is very pretty. It adds much charm to the picture. - The Moving Picture World, July 22, 1911
