Xbox’s upcoming first-party game, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, is queued to finally be released this month. With the approaching date, Ninja Theory has finally revealed what kind of specs a PC player would require to even run the game, and some might find them to be absurd.
Hellblade 2 will be released May 21 on PC and Xbox Series S/X.
It has become a trend in recent times for game titles, especially Aaa, to be released without much optimization, and Hellblade 2 seems to take that a step further by demanding specifications that many players would consider ridiculous. It also explains why the information was kept hidden till now and has been finally announced just a few days before the launch.

Four years ago, Chad Wild Clay and Vy Qwaint had an idea.
They had spent well over a decade making videos on YouTube, building their kids’ entertainment brand, Spy Ninjas, to more than 44 million subscribers and 15 billion views across multiple channels. They’d launched legions of Spy Ninjas merch, signed a graphic novel deal with Scholastic, and designed their own mobile game.
It was time for something bigger.
“The reason we acquired the building was because we were filming our YouTube videos in Las Vegas,” Clay tells Tubefilter. “A lot of them, we film outside. It’s extremely hot. So we were filming fight scenes in 107-degree weather. We were like, ‘This is too hot. We need air conditioning!'”
Clay and Qwaint–who have been married since 2011–didn’t stop at air conditioning. It wasn’t long into the planning process for their new filming headquarters that they realized...

The argument about a video game’s frame rate is age-old. Gamers have been discussing and talking about how a game runs on a particular system for a long time now. Ever since the arrival of the new consoles, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X 30 Fps have become rarities. Yet the upcoming game Hellblade 2 would be stuck in 30 Fps mode.
The developers have talked in great detail about why this game would run like this. On the other hand, 2015’s hit open-world role-playing game Fallout 4 is soon getting a 60 Fps mode and a bunch of other next-gen exclusive features. This has raised a great question amongst gamers: what matters more, gameplay or cinematic visuals?

Since their debut in the 1980s, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have grown into a permanent fixture in popular culture. From their catchy theme song to the four anthropomorphic turtle brothers, Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael, the franchise has touched the hearts of fans of all ages.
And now, with the news of a reboot on the horizon, Paramount has confirmed to be developing a live-action, R-rated film based on the gripping comic book miniseries Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin. So, who is in charge of guiding this vision?
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin
To put it mildly, Zack Snyder seems like the perfect person to bring these Ninja heroes back to the big screen. His work on movies like 300 and Man of Steel mirrors his ability to create epic and thrilling battles, which would make him a great match for the turtles’ ninja skills and unique fighting styles.

When Ninja Theory embarked on creating Hellblade 2, they knew they would have to outdo the predecessor by a wide margin. That’s a pretty lofty goal since the first game garnered high praise from the community for its story and setting.
Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice was one of the best-selling games on Europe’s PlayStation Store in the month of its release. The game did a lot of things differently as compared to its contemporaries. That spirit of innovation helped it to stand out in the market.
Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice Broke the Mold in Many Ways
The first Hellblade took a novel distribution approach.
At launch, the game became a phenomenon for several reasons. The game’s Norse mythology setting intrigued many players. There hadn’t been a lot of titles exploring this mythology by then, given that God of War came out the next year. So it was...

Hellblade 2 is scheduled for a May 21 2024 release but the game is already creating waves among fans. Recently, in an interview with the developers, fans got to know about the intricate thought processes behind the portrayal of psychosis.
Senua, the titular character in the first game Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, suffers from psychosis. While the game dealt with the matter in a way that was praised by both fans and critics, not everybody was a fan. One fan’s declaration about how the portrayal failed to address a core aspect of psychosis apparently led the development team to rethink and recreate the aspect by consulting people who suffer from the disorder.

Ninja Theory’s 2017 video game Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is cited as one of the best games of all time, but it would’ve never existed without director Alex Garland’s 2014 movie Ex Machina. Orochimaru was one of the most evil shinobi in the Naruto verse. He was the most talented out of the three Legendary Sannin, and Hiruzen Sarutobi expected great things of him. But instead of walking down the right path, he chose to seek vengeance on the Leaf Village and tried to destroy the village on multiple occasions.
He experimented on several human beings and created a faction from the Sound Village shinobi to carry out his missions. Orochimaru was fond of forbidden jutsu and was always on the lookout to decode those jutsu using experimentation. But later on, he left his evil ways behind. Fans believe him to be the prime reason why Jiraiya was not reanimated during the Fourth Great Ninja War.

Naruto has conquered the hearts of millions of fans worldwide. When the anime industry was slowly growing, Naruto made a massive leap towards worldwide popularity. While two-thirds of the Big Three of anime were making a name within the boundaries of Japan, Masashi Kishimoto’s name was sailing over the entire world. Naruto Uzumaki’s journey from a village outcast to a hero is quite commendable.
But when fans watched the anime for the first time, they could not control themselves from getting angry after seeing the treatment he received from the villagers. Even though the evil spirit of the Nine-Tails Fox was stored inside him, he was the son of the Fourth Hokage. He never got the respect he deserved. The fans believe it was all due to the third Hokage’s fault for not fulfilling the promise he made to Kushina.

Director Fumihiko Yasuda has revealed the games that served as an inspiration for Rise of the Ronin, his first-ever open-world game.
In a recent interview with Vgc, Yasuda mentioned he was playing games like Assassin’s Creed and Red Dead Redemption while conceptualizing Rise of the Ronin. The idea for developing an expansive open-world game while staying true to Team Ninja’s mastery in Ninja/ Samurai games was ruminating in Yasuda’s head around eight years ago.
While Team Ninja is popular for its high-stakes and fast-paced action games, Ronin is the developer’s first open-world title. In its previous titles, like Nioh and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, Team Ninja focused on tight pacing, high-stakes, and parry-driven combat. It designed gameplay levels that would reflect and complement the developer’s focus on combat.

Team Ninja’s Rise of the Ronin is shaping up to be one of the best action titles of 2024. Here’s when you’ll be able to download and play it.
Rise of the Ronin is scheduled to be released on March 22 for PlayStation 5. The game will be available to play at midnight on that day in all supported global regions. While that technically means that you can use the New Zealand trick to play the game a little early, some PlayStation fans find that the workaround that the console requires isn’t always worth the effort.
Regardless, you will be able to pre-load Rise of the Ronin starting on March 15 if you’ve already purchased the game. It’s recommended that you install the game early if you are able to do so as Rise of the Ronin‘s initial file size is over 96 Gb. That’s not quite...

Solo Leveling is one of the greatest examples of peak fiction. The manhwa became massively popular, and the fans begged the creators to opt for an anime adaptation. They got their wish fulfilled when it was finally announced. But it was a long process, and on January 6, 2024, the anime aired its first episode. The online streaming sites crashed, and the anime reached new heights of popularity.
Initially, everyone loved the anime, but as time passed, people got to see the problem with the anime adaptation. Several aspects were adored by the fans, like the relationship build-up between Sung Jinwoo and Cha Hae-In. Adding these extra elements may have added layers to the story, but it forgot one of the crucial factors of the manhwa – unlimited action sequences.

Those of you who love martial arts movies and follow our JoBlo Original, Reel Action, on YouTube may have seen the recent spotlight we did on the Mark Dacascos 1993 capoeira movie, Only the Strong. While Only the Strong should have skyrocketed Dacascos to martial arts stardom, he would actually have an earlier credit with a smaller role in a film called American Samurai, which starred David Bradley of the American Ninja sequels. American Samurai would come from the director of many Ninja-related movies, Sam Firstenberg, for the infamous once-upon-a-movie studio, Cannon Films. Sam Firstenberg was a director who the studio often collaborated with, but American Samurai would be the first movie that Cannon took their famous scissors to and alter the film against the director’s vision.
A group on Facebook called The Official Restoration of American Samurai has been established with some news for fans of the film and genre.

The PlayStation 3 era showcased the talent of first-party developers in terms of content, they came out swinging right out of the gate and put out some genre-defining hits.
Developers such as Naughty Dog and Santa Monica Studios were able to utilize the hardware to the absolute limit, and fueled by talent and passion, they have given us the Uncharted trilogy that spanned across the console’s lifecycle, capping the Greek saga of the God of War franchise with God of War III.
PlayStation Taking Time Away from Franchise Exclusives isn’t the Worst Thing

Today the interviews continue as we get to chat to Amy Bailey who plays Joanna in the show and David Amito who plays John the Baptist; Jesus’ cousin. It can’t be denied that as far as martial arts movies go, the best ones come from Asia, particularly Hong Kong during their action heyday, which was arguably the 70s, 80s and first half of the ’90s. That said, martial arts movies were also making a foothold in the States at the time, thanks mainly to Bruce Lee-mania following the release of Enter the Dragon. Before that movie, very few actors in Hollywood seemed like they were credible martial artists, except maybe James Coburn, a student of Lee’s, who pulled off some pretty good-looking moves in the otherwise silly Our Man Flint movies. Steve McQueen also had training but didn’t use martial arts on screen.
Up to then, though, the most notable uses of martial arts in movies usually revolved around Judo, with James Cagney showing off some good moves in the film Blood on the Sun,...

With a title like Ninja vs Shark you might think this is another Mark Polonia film along the lines of Sharkula or Shark Encounters of the Third Kind. Or maybe one of the more bizarre Chinese kaiju films such as Land Shark. But you’d be wrong, it’s actually a Japanese film written by Junichiro Ashiki and directed by Kôichi Sakamoto.
During Japan’s Edo Period, Sayo, a pearl diver from the village of Okitsu, swims back to shore only to find the remains of one of her fellow divers washed up on the beach. This has been happening a lot since Lord Koshiro Mizuchi of the Crimson Devil Clan demanded the villagers hand over their pearls to him. When they refused he used sorcery to turn the sharks into living weapons.

David Ayer's 2016 DC Comics film "Suicide Squad" is a horrendous mess. It started with an interesting enough premise -- imprisoned supervillains are teamed up and forced to perform morally dubious acts of heroism in exchange for lighter sentences -- but the story wasn't clear and the editing was atrocious. Many were keen to see Will Smith play the supervillain Deadshot, while others were fond of Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, but few were pleased with Ayer's vision of the Joker (Jared Leto) -- an updated, tattooed fiend who resembled Ninja from Die Antwoord more than he did any of the previous comic book iterations of the character.
The editing process for "Suicide Squad" was notoriously hellish. The film's first editor, John Gilroy, left the project early on and had to pass editing duties to the uncredited Oscar winner Lee Smith (who cut several of Christopher Nolan's movies). Infamously,...

GameSquare has instituted a major shakeup in the gaming world. The esports firm has acquired FaZe Clan and plans to reinstall the beleaguered entertainment company’s original leadership team.
A press release from GameSquare describes the acquisition as an “arm’s length all-stock transaction” that will allow FaZe to continue operating as an independent entity. The two companies generated a combined revenue of $138 million in 2022, according to GameSquare. Post-acquisition, the gaming-oriented holding company plans to save over $18 million by eliminating redundant costs.
“The gaming community represents one of the largest and most engaged segments of the attention economy,” said GameSquare CEO Justin Kenna in a statement. “The acquisition of one of the biggest names in gaming serves as a perfect illustration of how we have built a powerful infrastructure with expansive scale that we can use to leverage the full spectrum of resources within the GameSquare ecosystem.”

As explained by the film director Gareth Edwards regarding the guerrilla-style filmmaking approach used to shoot the movie, the tools were also confirmed. Y.M.Cinema was the first to report that this mega-budget Hollywood sci-fi production was shot on a prosumer camera, Sony FX3. As opposed to what many have thought, the Arri Alexa 65 was not involved in this project. The use of the Sony FX3 has contributed a lot to the desired style that Director Gareth Edwards was eager for.

Earlier this year, Tyler Blevins accepted the role of Chief Innovation Officer at entertainment company GameSquare. We now know the first product that will come out of Blevins’ era of innovation: The gamer known as Ninja has announced a wellness platform called Vivior 4Sight.
4Sight helps streamers improve their physical and mental well-being as they hone their gameplay skills. The platform allows users to connect wearable devices in order to track their health and fitness. Monthly “missions” and “challenges” will give 4Sight creators the chance to win prizes just by staying in shape.
Several companies are involved in the development of 4Sight. Vivior, which lends its name to the new platform, is the Swiss tech company behind the “scouter,” a device that tracks its wearer’s eye movements. For individuals who spend a significant period of time staring at screens (such as streamers), the Vivior Scouter offers relief from eye and back strain.

Yeule’s 2022 album Glitch Princess is a crystalline piece of conceptual electronica that offers a bleak take on transhumanism. Smack in the middle of it is an emo-pop lullaby, “Don’t Be So Hard on Your Own Beauty,” that’s free of the gauzy distortion that defines the Singaporean nonbinary pop artist’s sound. The song’s sparse acoustic production foregrounds Yeule’s tortured relationship with love and self-image and links them to a decades-long history of alt-rock music revolving around mental health.
With Softscars, Yeule extends the ideas presented on “Don’t Be So Hard on Your Own Beauty” to album length, pairing similarly brutal lyrical content with blissfully fuzzy soundscapes. Like Yeule’s past music, particularly 2019’s stellar Serotonin II, the album is awash in noise that sometimes obscures their voice, rendering it as a ghostlike presence calling out from a memory.

Vance Walker finally claimed victory as the next “American Ninja Warrior” during Monday’s Season 15 finale, but the journey to winning certainly caused him a fair amount of grief.
After hitting a buzzer during Stage 3 of the NBC competition show’s Las Vegas finals, Walker, along with eight other remaining contestants, went head-to-head to climb the infamous Mt. Midoriyama 75-foot rope climb. While Walker finished his climb with the best performance so far with 3.25 seconds to spare in the 30-second challenge, the 18-year-old finalist had to wait to claim victory until seeing if Caleb Bergstrom and Rj Roman beat his time.
“Waiting to see if I’d won the million dollars was the most terrifying experience in my life,” Walker told TheWrap during a Tuesday morning interview. “I’m already nervous when I’m on the course, but when you’ve done what you needed to do, and it’s...

Khaby Lame is following a trend set by several other big-name creators. The TikTok star has joined MrBeast and Jake Paul by becoming a playable character in a video game. In Lame’s case, he’s dropping into Fortnite with an unlockable avatar inspired by his likeness.
Players can access the Khaby Lame skin through the Battle Pass system operated by Fortnite developer Epic Games. After unlocking the cosmetic item, players can don their Khaby Lame disguises to attempt a heist event dubbed “Last Resort.”
Lame’s addition to the Fortnite universe is part of the game’s “icon series,” which also includes playable characters inspired by streamers like Ninja and TheGrefg. As the Italian TikTok star prepared to join that illustrious group, he worked closely with Epic Games to ensure that his avatar adopted his mannerisms. His silent reactions to ridiculous TikTok videos have made him the most-followed creator on the platform.

Even by the consistently high standard of her past work, though, Hit Parade represents a new creative peak.
The album contains some of Murphy’s most infectious melodies to date, but as with so much of Hit Parade, there’s far more to songs like “Fader” than just pop hooks. Behind the track’s not-quite-radio-friendly chorus and absurdist lyrics—“I lay eggs every single time I think of you”—lays an expert sample of “Window Shopping” by Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings. Murphy delivers...
