Sonny Fernandez, the low (or should I say no?) budget auteur behind a slate of indie films such as The New Girls, Bleed and The Aborted doesn't have top of the line performances or production values in the horror films that he has been producing. However, what his films have that help make up for that is a lot of spirit, heart and, most importantly, originality. Sonny Fernandez has been taking chances with each and every single film he has made to date. He thinks outside of the box and doesn't compromise his vision to fit into someone else's vision. In a lot of ways, it reminds me of Sam Raimi when he started out with The Evil Dead. Can this passionate, no budget horror director score a breakout with his brand of off beat horror films that deliver something unique and distinctive? Only time will tell, but Sonny Fernandez...

Here is the trailer for the latest Sonny Fernandez classic, The Complex. Fernandez is known for his "no budget" films including Bleed (coming soon to DVD), Cold Blooded, and the Last Battleground. Synopsis A man wakes up in a hallway, face covered in bandages, confused, he has no idea how he got there, where he is, or even who he is. The only clue he has is the number 109 written on his arm. He's quickly chased by a black figure down the twisting, turning corridors and eventually runs into more people. It turns out that none of them have any memories of their lives before. They all have numbers as well and they have become content with the situation. There is no escape from The Complex and whenever they try The Keeper, the black figure, makes them pay. So they simply live their lives, not asking questions, surviving, taking their only means of escape,...
