Wondering how all the DC universe TV spin-offs, crossovers and webseries fit together? We have the answer...
In October 2012, Us network The CW launched the first season of Arrow, after wrapping up no fewer than ten seasons of Superman origin show Smallville a year before. Arrow was a completely new take on the DC Comics character Green Arrow, in a new universe that had nothing to do with Smallville or its version of Oliver Queen/Green Arrow. The series proved quite the hit for The CW, and a second season renewal inevitably followed. In season two, we were introduced to forensic scientist Barry Allen, better known to DC Comics readers as The Flash. Arrow got a third season, The Flash got his own TV show with great success, and the live action shared DC Comics universe on TV was born. And with it the question: how does it all fit together?...

While the fourth season of Arrow proved to be highly divisive among fans, it’s probably safe to say that many will still want it to adorn their shelves. And for those who do, you’ll be glad to know that on August 30, you can bring home Oliver Queen’s latest adventures on either Blu-Ray or DVD.
Something that I found to be cool about this upcoming set is that it actually includes an episode of The Flash, so you can enjoy both parts of the mid-season crossover in case you elect to buy only one series. Furthermore, several bonus features focus on the likes of Hawkman, Hawkgirl, and Vandal Savage, which seems appropriate given that said crossover served as a backdoor pilot for DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.

Arrow looks as though it's finally cleared away some of the debris of its less-than-great third season. Fingers crossed...
This review contains spoilers.
4.13 Sins Of The Father
And with that, we can hope and pray that the League of Assassins stays dead and, along with it, any mention of Ra's al Ghul and Nanda Parbat. After a heck of a lot of manoeuvring that's less entertaining than it ever should have been, Nyssa is put in charge of the League only to disband it shortly after. Malcolm, having lost a fight with Oliver, only has one hand and, after taking the cure promised by Nyssa last week, Thea is alive and well.
So that's that. After a season and a half of infuriating storylines and unbelievable character motivations, we can assume that this part of the show has finally been put to bed. But it's resolution, along with the rest of it,...

4.12 Unchained
If there's one salvageable thing to come out of last season's Ra's al Ghul storyline, it was Nyssa. Previously a love interest for Sara and a foil for Oliver, Nyssa has quietly become one of Arrow's most intriguing figures, a person outside of Team Arrow, outside of Malcolm's new League of Assassins, operating largely in the background.
This gives her a certain edge over the rest of our heroes as, while still being humanised at various points thanks to her aforementioned romance with Sara, she's often more level-headed than anyone else on the show. Her mission to take down Malcolm is one that makes complete sense after what we've witnessed, and her manoeuvrings to get there were revealed across...

Arrow season 4's latest filler episode delivers two sidekick-centric storylines for Felicity and Diggle...
This review contains spoilers.
4.11 A.W.O.L.
Until now, Arrow has always, disappointingly, made the struggles of its supporting characters all about Oliver. When it was confirmed that the outcome of Darhk's attack would leave Felicity wheelchair-bound, it was a significant worry that her paralysis would simply be an excuse for the show to backtrack on Oliver's attitude adjustment. He doesn't handle tragedy well and, despite his relatively lighthearted demeanour this season, old habits die hard.
And to a certain extent this can be expected given the fact that Oliver is the show's solo protagonist. But at a certain point fans attach to the supporting cast and, on Arrow especially, the hero becomes one of the least interesting ingredients in the recipe.
What a relief, then, that the episode decided to focus...

It often seems that Arrow struggles out of the blocks when it comes back from the mid-season break. Episode 9 is typically great, usually even the best of the season, but then it has to take a month or two off and loses all of that momentum.
It was certainly the case in Season 3, though that wasn’t helped by Oliver being ‘dead’, and it’s proving to be the case again in Season 4. A.W.O.L., much like last week’s Blood Debts, is still a solid episode, but Arrow still isn’t fully back on track in 2016. The signs are that it’s getting there though.
As promised there was a break from Damien Darhk this week, as we instead had the yearly episode that focuses on Lyla, Diggle, and Amanda Waller (though this time there was no Suicide Squad along for the ride). A.R.

During the final flash-forward look at the end of the Arrow episode "Blood Debts" eagle eyed fans noticed something amiss. Felicity is no longer wearing her engagement ring to Oliver. It led many people to wonder and speculate over the meaning of the missing prop. Is it possible it was a mistake on production's part or an intentional clue? Arrow star, Stephen Amell, is here to clear up the confusion.

Arrow is back and it successfully picked up from exactly where it left off.
When the mid-season finale came to a close last year, the big cliffhanger was the health of Felicity Smoak. After Damien Darhk’s lackeys filled her full of bullets, the first half of Season 4 ended with her life hanging in the balance. Could the show possibly kill her off?
Well, no.
With Blood Debts, we got an immediate answer on Felicity’s fate, whilst Anarky resurfaces to get some semblance of revenge on Darhk following the souring of their working relationship earlier in the season. Elsewhere, we got some advancement of the relationship between the Diggle brothers, John and Andy, while the majority of the episode centred on the troubles surrounding Felicity as those close to her struggle with what has happened to her, although Oliver Queen is largely absent from her bedside as...

The CW’s latest superhero show, Legends Of Tomorrow, isn’t off to a terrific start. But it does have potential…
This review contains spoilers.
1.1 Pilot
It’s impossible to deny the ambition of The CW’s latest new superhero series Legends Of Tomorrow – a sprawling time travel adventure where a gaggle of superheroes attempt to avert a future war of near-apocalyptic proportions. There aren’t many networks trying anything as audacious as a Doctor Who/Avengers/Terminator mash-up right now, so the fact that this show exists at all should be applauded.
These admirable levels of ambition make it even more disappointing to admit that Legends’ pilot episode isn’t particularly brilliant. Perhaps - after months of hype from Arrow, The Flash, and The CW’s marketing team – this first episode was always going to be a let-down.
After all, it gives itself far too much to do in 45 minutes.

Arrow returns with an episode that hinges on whether you cared about that mid-season cliffhanger...
This review contains spoilers.
4.10 Blood Debts
So Felicity isn't in the grave, which was obvious to anyone paying attention to dates, and we're still no closer to finding out it's true occupant. Our enjoyment of Blood Debts relied on how much we cared about that cliffhanger, and with the combination of obvious writer trickery to throw us off the scent over the break and an episode that was busy with several non-Felicity plotlines to set up and pay off, it's hard to know how to feel about the outcome.
The attack in the mid-season finale has consequences, which is nice, but it's again very unlikely that Felicity will actually remain paralysed for the rest of her time on the show. Sadly, primetime Us dramas just aren't there yet (but they're free to...

Since the very first episode of Arrow season 4, fans have been wondering about how the season is going end. The season premiere ended a flash-forward of Oliver and Barry Allen standing in front of unknown grave stone mourning the loss of another character. The identity of this mystery deceased person has been a source of near-constant speculation and pondering. In "Blood Debts" Arrow revealed a little bit more about the identity of the person, specifically who is it not. Felicity will survive Arrow season 4, or at least she isn't the person who is dead and buried.
Yet in "Blood Debts" like in "Green Arrow" Oliver and Felicity refused to say outright who killed the person in the grave. What if the grave mystery is really just one big misdirection? The real mystery is not, "Who was killed?" but rather, "Who is the killer?" What if it's not Damien Darhk, as we all assume,...

After a long hiatus, Arrow finally returned after leaving on a big cliffhanger as Team Green Arrow deals with the aftermath while also handling the return of Anarchy. Because it was already spoiled, it wasn’t too much of a surprise to see Felicity being alive, but at a cost as she is now paralyzed. It was definitely heart-breaking to see what she had to go through. Also, it definitely made it more emotional seeing how Mama Smoak was dealing with it because we’re always used to see her happy. It’s hard to say much about this change going forward except this, as

Up until now, Oliver's emergence as the Green Arrow — a vigilante with a "no-kill" credo — has been somewhat of a smooth ride. But after Damien Darhk's ghosts riddled his fiancée (!) with bullets, Oliver is questioning the wisdom of his vow not to murder. On the bright side, he isn't questioning his other vows."Blood Debts" opens with the Future Grave Scene we saw in the season premiere, except it's no longer six months in the future. It's only four. Cut to the present day, where an emotionally distraught Oliver brings Felicity to an emergency room after Darhk's attack. The hospital scene is spliced with a montage of the Arrow, who viciously attacks ghosts with the hope that one will give up Darhk's location. It's a tense, energetic sequence that sets the tone for this well-executed episode. (As much as I look forward to Stephen Amell and Emily Bett...

The final scene of "Dark Waters" was about as dark as Arrow has ever been in its four year run. Oliver and Felicity had finally got engaged, only for them to be attacked and Felicity to slump lifeless into Oliver's arms. Since that dreary cliffhanger, Arrow has played it notoriously coy with Felicity's fate. She was intentionally not shown in many of the promo materials for the midseason and Arrow kept the secret of her fate surprisingly quiet. Now in the chilling fallout episode, "Blood Debts," the answer of what happened to Felicity is finally revealed.

The CW has released a new trailer for next week’s midseason premiere of Arrow, and it’s packed full of awesome action and plenty of intriguing reveals. The focus here is surprisingly very much on returning villain Anarky, and it seems as if he’s going to pose a real threat to Team Arrow as they come together to try and stop him from throwing Star City into complete chaos.

The Aftermath — Oliver (Stephen Amell) must deal with the devastating consequences of Darhk’s (guest star Neal McDonough) last attack. Seeking revenge, Oliver goes on a brutal manhunt looking for Dahrk. Jesse Warn directed the episode written by Oscar Balderrama & Sarah Tarkoff.

At the end of the Arrow Fall finale, Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) was left fighting for her life in Oliver’s (Stephen Amell) arms after being shot. While most fans rightly assumed this character wouldn’t be killed off, her ultimate fate was left up in the air.
Rmember all those rumors that Felicity would take up the mantle of Oracle on the show at some point, though? Well, that looks to be exactly what’s being set up to happen here.
Thanks to Canadagraphs Twitter account, we have a couple of set images from downtown Vancouver where Arrow is currently shooting, and one features Rickards in a wheelchair, strongly suggesting that she going to be “Oracle’d.”
In the comics, Barbara Gordon became Oracle after being crippled by the Joker, and eventually teamed up with several other female heroes to form the Birds of Prey.

Whether or not to reveal that you’re a superpowered vigilante to your significant other seems to be the eternal struggle for super heroes. The future Kid Flash, Wally West, will also get some screen time as he gets to know his long lost family.

As fans of Arrow know, Oliver Queen did not have a good Christmas in 2015. He may have (finally) got engaged to the love of his life, Felicity Smoak. It left us all to wonder what was going to happen to Felicity. Arrow hasn't answered that question yet, but a new trailer for the winter premiere "Blood Debts" does drop some tantalizing details.
