Very well acted, but what a downer!

WARNING: This film is very, very depressing and possibly disturbing. If you don't want to see this sort of film, then I strongly suggest you skip EULOGY FOR JACK.

The film shows a man talking and practicing giving a eulogy for a dead man named Jack. As the old guy talks, you get the sense that Jack was indeed a strange man...and a man who could make you laugh. The actor delivering this long monologue really did a good job--his delivery was tremendous. However, at the end, there is a big surprise--one that I didn't particularly like and that lowered my overall score for the film a bit. It's a shame, as up until then the film had me hooked.

Overall, I'm giving it a 7. 9 for the acting and 5 for the story itself.

Eulogy for Jack it was like a blow for me

Warning: Spoilers
The plot, so involving, is able to bring mind up and down just in few minutes, and I thought it was great how the atmosphere changed, suddenly the plot turned over and I had no time to stop the character rush of mind.It seems like the camera was breathing deep with the character ...so my spectator breath. I found magic the care about the details, almost hypnotic. They led me by the hand in the privacy of this mysterious man.I fell accustomed at his home. This is the reason because I fell the end a punch. I was starting to take care about the protagonist and his feeling for his friend. Doesn't matter if I missed some words but never the sense, it depends on my imperfect English, I'm Italian. The first scene: The protagonist is in the bed in the same position of Peter Sellers in the film "Being there". Is it something of casual or not? Just for curiosity…

Second question: I Thought the woman on the other side of the bed, at the beginning of film, is "real"…but samebody had the impression that she is only a memory of ancient time passed, she is a memory of the man Very good work! Thank'you very much for excellent actor and excellent director Sorry for my terrible English. Monica
