As the show moves on after Sally's farewell, we are treated to a whodunnit.Well, it beats nutter on the rampage.Actually, this is all pretty good stuff with a nice police procedural episode and all the plots nicely tied together.
After the previous episode threw up a whole host of suspects, this episode sees us rapidly learning what Martha, Tony, Rachel and Morag were up to while Sam was killed. So assuming none of them were lying that just leaves the questions of what happened while Roman was on the beach, where has Jack been since he met Tony and what the hell was Jazz up to.Oh-and if Sam didn't drown, what did happen to her and where did the suicide note come from? Mind you, Martha seems even more naive than ever in not seeing the holes in Sam's story. If she doesn't want to leave her with Jack, why is she asking for money to leave? In subplots, Belle seems to register Geoff's disapproval and finally gives Gavin what he deserves while Melody's behaviour borders on the creepy as she assumes Geoff is her boyfriend on the basis of...no evidence whatsoever.
And the most notable thing about the episode-Ken Harper gets a mention for the first time in ages!So he does still work there. We don't see him, of course, but as that allows the lovely Rebecca George to take centre stage as Lara, I'm not complaining.
