"Anna Geheimnis" sounds like a movie where you would really want to know what is Anna's secret. But as you find out (around minute 90, one third into the film) it is her daughter with another man, pretty much all the tension is gone. Jutta Speidel and Dietrich Hollinderbäumer are solid actors, but only the latter shines here occasionally. The supporting cast is fairly forgettable as well. The actress who plays her secret daughter is only nine years younger than Speidel herself, but it never really shows.
A sub-plot involved the apple-farming from the main characters and how they are struggling with their business. This part is even more forgettable. Director Jan Ruzicka (experienced television director) and writer Sophie Krapoth failed in giving this television movie the handling to make it really worth a watch. Not recommended.
