Setup episode

Loved season one - this episode is a reorientation combined with setting the new situation. Hopefully it will get better as things progress - watching e2 now.

Congratulations to Amazon
nakrugt11 March 2022
First of all, Amazon owns imdb and they regularly delete my reviews and not letting me know why.

Primevideo is nt very rich in my region, but I should congratulate them for two things: first, they let me watch their original content at the same time with the rest of the world and I thank you for that. Two, their speed translating despite me watching in English, it is admirable and something to applaud.

And about this show, I though they had cancelled it and I was disappointed. When they announced season 2, I was happy, glad, merry, cheerful and other synonyms. This is the day they "uploaded" the second season and I am going to finish it. TODAY.

This first episode did not disappoint.

Writing is great. The cast is great. The production is great.

So, thank you amazon.

I am sure I will be looking forward to the third season although I am currently watching the 2nd episode.

Oh, our fingers touched!

Warning: Spoilers
Disappointed that the boy/girl writing is so boring and predictable. Oh I miss her she's my real love but here's someone I feel guilty about oh what the heck one kiss and at that exact moment miss right walks in or passes by door or something equally as boring and sees mr. Right and is sad and angry and goes to other guy who blah blah blah.

Also I'm really tired of adults touching fingers and acting like teens or tweens.

Silly writing
rmmil12 March 2022
I just had to see if season 2 was any sort of an improvement over 1, and so far not really.

The main point of this review was to point out one really annoying bit from this episode: En-ve-lope.

What year is this series supposed to take place in, exactly? The synopsis says "2030's", but the series sure doesn't act like it.

Are we, the viewers, expected to believe food will be 100% printed, in a decade? That envelopes and mailing have fallen so out of favor that people don't even know how to pronounce the word "envelope" anymore?

It's all just dumb. Bad writing. Maybe if this was supposed to be 2080, or 2100, maybe, but "en-ve-lope" 10 years from now? Come on.

Love the show to this point ... but this episode was slow.

I get it ... it's setting up. I'm okay with that ... but if they spend too much time off the grid growing fruits and veggies ... this show is going to become as boring as the dirt they are growing in. This was the weakest episode thus far.

Season 2 looking doubtful.

Warning: Spoilers
Andy Allo is still pretty, but the rest of the cast are generic tropes with little to no acting talent.

The only exception is the addition of the excellent Paulo Costanzo from Royal Pains. He adds some much needed energy to a lifeless show. I have no idea though why he lives in the woods.
