Für mich eine der größeren Enttäuschungen in der Sneak Preview. Ohne das Buch gelesen zu haben, gehe ich mal schwer davon aus, dass die Vorlage die Adaption um Längen schlägt. Der Film ist streckenweise unfreiwillig komisch und furchtbar schlecht geschnitten.
Z.B. ist das ächzende Zombiebild sowie das Finale nur peinlich und besticht durch ungewollte Komik.Offensichtlich lag den Machern mehr daran den Zuschauer durch platte Sexeskapaden oder durch billige Schockeffekte(das stöhnende Zombiebild, nur lächerlich)zu unterhalten als den Esprit der literarischen Vorlage einzufangen, den der Film nicht einmal erahnen lässt. Wie gesagt, ich kenne den Roman (noch) nicht, aber was auch immer den Roman den Status der Weltliteratur verliehen haben mag, der Film hat nichts davon. Oscar Wilde wäre nicht erfreut. Der Regisseur hat es geschafft einen Literaturklassiker als einen Horror-Softporno zu inszenieren. Von dem dilettantischen Schnitt ganz zu schweigen.
