It makes no sense for Katharina to keep trying to bully the 1986 police and authorities for information about Mikkel. She is a high-school principal, an occupation only attained by intelligent and diligent people in Germany. As such, she is moreover perfectly aware how the bureaucracy works and what privacy protocols are in place to protect children.
