Wow, everyone really has checked their brains in at the door in this episode.Prize of place must go to Aden and Belle.They pretty much know that Larry was responsible for the hit-and-run yet they don't think to tell the police(it's no use bleating about it, Belle, just do it). Instead, they go running off like headless chickens, find Larry by sheer luck and then just wander off and let him escape.Real smart.
Everyone else seems to be doing badly here, even when they get it right occasionally.Geoff thinks they should do something to help Axel's family(and nice for it to be acknowledged he had one)...but tells Annie to keep away from Jai?Irene chides Aden and Belle for keeping things secret...then tells Annie to do the same thing?Good for her for ignoring her.Miles chases around after Jai when the boy wants to be on his own.Although given his kamikazi act at the end, it might not be the best thing after her.
There is at least some sense of remembering Axel;Annie's response is genuine, not the hypocrisy Jai thinks it is, and there is at least some mention of the fact he and Aden used to be friends, even if Aden is more concerned with what's happened to Larry.But ultimately, like most people in this episode, he's just a prop to give Aden something to do, in what seems to increasingly be his show.Alf, Irene and Leah might have top billing but they might as well not be in it.
