Father Knows Worst is an amazing episode. I have watched 16 other Simpsons episodes in this season and there has been 3 bad, 5 okay, 5 good, and 5 really good episodes so far. This episode is one of those really good episodes. Recently there has been a comeback in the Simpsons, starting in Season 33 and still here, well, at least in Season 35. I have watched Season 34 and almost all of the episodes of 35. I recently watched an episode of Season 33 through, and it reminded me of this one. It was called Bart the Cool Kid. The reason why these two episodes are similar are one because of the way Homer acts. In these both episodes Homer wants to join in what other people are doing. In this episode, it's being a helicopter parent. In Bart the Cool Kid it's being a cool, uh, person. Another similarly is that the kids don't like these changes to Homer. In this episode Bart is sick of Homer doing all of his projects for him and Lisa just isn't meant to be popular even thought Homer's making her be. In Bart the Cool Kid Bart doesn't like how Homer is trying to be cool. A third similarity is that Homer is trying to help the kids. In this episode he tries to help Bart with his grades and Lisa with her popularity. In Bart the Cool Kid Homer tries to increase Bart's popularity by buying Bart new shoes. One last similarity is that both of the themes are similar. In this episode thr theme is that forcing your kids to succeed or doing all the work for them is bad. The theme for Bart the Cool Kid is to let kids do what they do. I think the better episode is this episode because it has much more humor. In all, I give this a 7.7 out of 10.
