In Cotton's voiceover of the instructions, he says "General George S. Patton." However, the words on the paper only say "George S. Patton."
Cotton's list directs Hank to slap the bottoms of "the Cleary sisters" but Bobby reads it as "two brunette nurses at the VA hospital".
In the beginning, everybody is around Bill's car and talking that its engine was broken beyond repair. Later, when Hank was entering the bar in order to flush his father's ashes, Bill is driving his car normally.
When looking through Cotton's positions, the canteen seems to be a green plastic model. WW2 canteens were aluminum.
Here, Cotton Hill has been cremated, but in Season 4 "Cotton's Plot", Cotton chooses out his burial plot at the Texas State Cemetery, where he wants to be buried.
Among the names carved into the toilet is Irwin Linker, whose date of death is shown as October 7, 1991. However, Cotton introduces Peggy to Irwin Linker in the 1999 episode "To Spank with Love" at the VFW hall.
In the flashback, Hank is shown as being born in a hospital. In the episode Yankee Hankee (Season 5, Episode 10), he is seen to be born in the Yankee Stadium.
