In the mood for a good short film? How about a great one. John Fallon, the Arrow himself from Arrow in the Head, has announced that his short film Red Hours is out now on DVD. The film’s cinematography was done by our own Donny Broussard, CEO/Editor of Killer Film.
A quiet war is transpiring between lovers Mark (Deke Richards) and Natasha (Amy Wickenheiser). The more mature and old fashion Marc can’t come to terms with his better half being bisexual hence he’s constantly feeling hurt and resentful. On her end, Natasha feels criticized and un-accepted, consequently finding comfort in the arms of her lover Drew (Heather Westwood). One fateful night at a lowly dive bar, the quiet war between the two finally explodes, resulting in a soiree of blood, chainsaws and bullets.
“It was a long freaking road to get this little film shot, edited and now on DVD.

You know him and love him, but some of you might not know our own John Fallon, aka The Arrow, is actually a horror director in addition to being an enthusiast. He's just posted his latest project online for our viewing pleasure, and he wants to know what you think. It's called The Red Hours, and it's an eight minute short about a man's murderous relationship with a lover, and I believe the film won an Independent Spirit Award a while back. Here's what Arrow has to say about his own work:...

Friend and colleague John Fallon, whom most of you will know from Arrow in the Head, has just set his latest short film loose on the interwebs, and we're here to spread the word for both him and you!
"The reaction to The Red Hours has been mixed so far, some love it, some hate it; all good," says Fallon over on his official blog. "One reaction that stood out for me though was that many had No Idea what it was about. Which is fine, cause it's supposed to be an artsy, symbolism heavy short mixed in with horror conventions. I guess I thought it was more obvious than it is."
Check out the flick along with a couple of stills below, and let us know what you think!
