Actor Gulshan Devaiah says the greatest fear for an actor is to be forgotten and become irrelevant.
"The forgotten become irrelevant and that's the greatest fear for an actor. This can be anybody's reality. It's a tough business. It kills the mind, breaks the spirit of people & yet we come flocking in the thousands. Best wishes to Mr Samir Khakhar & everyone else who's an actor," Gulshan tweeted on Saturday.
His post comes as a reaction to a post which stated that "Samir Khakhar who played the role of Khopdi in Nukkad is looking for work".

Footfairy (& TV)
Starring Gulshan Devaiah, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Sarika Ghatge
Directed by Kaniskh Verma
Why does the serial killer, nicknamed Footfairy, like to cut off his female victims’ feet after murdering them? Maybe he then finds it easier to stuff their bodies into the suitcases before dumping them in abandoned places? Or maybe he just doesn’t like them (women’s feet) or likes them way more than normal.
Does he have a collection of feet in his home displayed on the shelf with the appropriate dates to brag about with his children? Meena Kumar in Pakeezah had Raj Kumar writing poetry about her feet. What to say about a serial killer’s feet-rat(nature) when till the end, we are not told who the killer was? That’s right. This film opts for an ‘open’ ending.
And yet despite its odd propensity to not take sides and to leave...

Mumbai, Oct 24 (Ians) Actor Gulshan Devaiah feels recent controversies, related to allegations of Bollywood-drug trade nexus as well as nepotism charges, which have been surrounding the film fraternity, do not bother him.
"Without taking names, I want to say that the controversies and generalisation that have defamed our film industry in the recent past do not bother me. What bothers me is the people who are raising their voice with a huge amount of insincerity. If you know that you are an influential voice of the film industry, will you not check your own words before uttering them? That is why I have difficulty trusting them. The audience that is observing the toxicity, should sit back and try to understand who is benefitting from these controversies? As an audience, are you?" said the actor.
Gulshan has managed to make his mark in the entertainment industry across mediums.

Actor Gulshan Devaiah says he developed a major crush on actress Sagarika Ghatge ever since he watched the 2007 release, Chak De! India.
So, when he got a chance to work with Sagarika after all these years in the telefilm "Footfairy", the experience was special.
"To tell you the truth I had a big crush on her when 'Chak De! India' had come out, so I didn't really know how I was going to react when I first met her. I didn't want to start blushing or something like that! Most of the time we were just talking about hockey and absolutely nothing about cricket," Gulshan said.
Sagarika is married to former Indian cricketer Zaheer Khan.
In "Footfairy", the actors will be exploring the dark side of obsession. Directed by Kanishk Varma, the film revolves around Vivaan Deshmukh, a Cbi officer and his lady love, Devika. Vivaan sets out...

Actor Gulshan Devaiah feels good content is the only way to bring back to television the section of audience that is currently moving away to Ott.
The actor plays the male protagonist in the upcoming film "Footfairy" that is set to release on television.
"In our country, TV is surely a widely watched medium of entertainment, especially for family audiences in small towns. We have seen during lockdown how the consumption of home entertainment has increased. It is true that people consume entertainment on phone, but in small towns people still have a TV set, and watch shows and films together. So we have a great reach there," Gulshan told Ians.
He added: "Earlier, with progressive shows on air, people used to watch TV more. These days they find such content on OTTs. I think when our film 'Footfairy' releases on TV, the audience will get a chance to watch an engaging,...
