Half way through production the Skyway Club were contacted by Special Olympics Ireland about entering the qualifications for the world games. And due to their skills at table tennis they were accepted.
The producers of this film, Linda Laverty and Matthew Lee, got so good at table tennis that they bought their own tables. Linda used her table during the production and after two set-ups it got wrecked during transport. It is still waiting to be fixed by her neighbour.
During the production Linda Laverty learnt the secret of table tennis called the Magnus-effect and she wanted this to be used in the film title. Other titles were, "Special Delivery", "Whiff-Waff", "Saber-Lines" and "Berlin to Win."
The crew of this film joked that they were making a film with a one million budget. Except the currency was in Thai baht, which is around £3,000.
The production was filmed and edited on and off for 16 months.
