Simply awful, and I like Rosie too!
MsMovie2 December 2008
Warning: Spoilers
You know, I usually like Rosie O'Donnell, she's pretty funny, a little out spoken but that's a pleasant change in these days of political correctness, but this show was the worst thing I have seen in a long time. Firstly, Rosie wearing all black and that hideous lipstick was not attractive at all, then there was the back to the fifties (1950's!) style of presenting the guests and the Carol Burnett-esquire skits in between which didn't work at all. Then Harry Connick popped in for what literally must have been 30 seconds, and he didn't seem comfortable either. None of the guests was presented in a particularly good way to be honest, and the whole burlesque routine by Jane Krakowski was just another big "what the..?" moment in my house.

To be totally honest I think this kind of variety show on TV has gone the way of the Dodo, although it might possibly work as a stage show, but even then I think we have progressed too far for this kind of schtick.

I hope this has been canceled because we TV viewers really do deserve better and some good shows have gotten the ax this year, even though they have had a lot of critical acclaim.

The style opf this show, the presenting, even the guests, just didn't gel together cohesively at all. I'd rather watch re-runs!

Rosie Live! Please be Rosie Dead!!!!

Warning: Spoilers
Rosie Live! Please be Rosie Dead!!!! I had to force myself to watch this train wreck piece of schlock. The only rationale that I can think of for Ben Silverman, co-chairman of NBC Entertainment and Universal Media Studios giving this horrid show the green light is because of the press that Rosie O'Donnell still receives even though she is not on a hit TV show, film or Broadway production. I think Silverman mistook the press for her rants as talent. When I read or watch something about O'Donnell ranting, it's not because I think she is awesome or a talented individual. I watch it to laugh AT her NOT with her and I think that's what most people do. "Let's see what stupid thing she is up to now," does not mean that I or anyone else wants to see her back on TV, especially during the prime time hour.

Many of the stars on this program just did not look comfortable being on stage and that Alec Baldwin door bit got old quick! She also had Liza Minnelli on her show. Seriously do people ages 18-34 really care about Liza Minnelli?

No one wants to see a mean spirited loudmouth who thinks that she can actually sing good during prime time. One of her promos even had a slight jab at "The View," which she formally co-hosted.

And no I am not bashing this piece of garbage show because O'Donnell is a lez. Ellen DeGeneres is a lez, but unlike O'Donnell she is actually likable and a FUNNY comedienne.

I saw her on interviews, where she stated that she wanted to bring back the "variety show." Well guess what Rosie? That TV format died in America over 30 years ago. PLEASE stop trying to relive your childhood Rosie!!! This is the Internet generation and not the show tune generation!

Really, she's still LIVE !

Warning: Spoilers
What a absolute chunk of film....DVD would be useful as a clay pigeon, waste of time, and it ticks me off I can't no matter how much I try, I can't get it out of my mind, I need one of those mind erasers from "Men in Black", but so they don't exist, I guess a lobotomy will have to do....The dullness of every single minute of this still tries to ring out to me to keep watching over and over again, but with every minute that passes, it's like fingernails running down a chalkboard, that sound of her voice scratching on the board just keeps prying at my ears trying to rip my brain out. Can't believe I was conned into watching this . Now she has a show on Oprah Network, god help us all.... Please try and stop this train wreck while we can. With her ranting about everything from men, to guns, this is one person I have had enough with. I can utterly go on in life without ever seeing her again, and this "Rosie Live" will do it to you as well.mi say this mentioned "spoilers" because, well it does in a way.. The spoiler is... You will never want to watch another movie or her again after seeing "Rosie Live".. You have been warned !do not watch if you want to enjoy her on any other media.. I thank you and please feel free to ignore this if you dare, but it's like that movie where if you watch it, you may end up.... Not right in the head, of you know what I mean....

Horrible. Rosie is better than this.

Warning: Spoilers
I love Rosie. I really do. I think she's funny and a cool person. But what was that thing that I watched last night? The musical numbers were drab and unentertaining. Rosie and Liza singing was a horrible idea and was badly performed. The sketches bombed and failed to add anything to the show. I expected better from Rosie and I really wanted her to do well. But the show sucked and was one of the most horrible things I've seen on TV in a long time. I'm worried for Rosie. I want the talented Rosie to come back and produce something funny, wonderful, and entertaining. This show is not a good example of Rosie's talent. I'm disappointed in Rosie. Hopefully, next time she's on TV, I'll be able to enjoy it, and not watch it the whole time, wishing I were dead.
