When it comes to attraction, sometimes your head and your heart have nothing to do with the equation.
Jane (or Jane the horndog), found herself lusting after Fabian on Jane the Virgin Season 3 Episode 16. Fabian seems like a sweet enough guy, but it's not his intellect that Jane is drawn to. Have you seen those abs?
That's not to say there was a lack of emotional depth going on in this installment. The topic of grief and moving on was never far from the narrative forefront.
There was no denying Jane was after Fabian's body. It's been three years since Michael's death, so Jane hasn't been physical with a man for a long time.
Despite his surface level interests and intellect, Fabian actually turned out to be a nice guy. Even though he wasn't reciprocating Jane's attraction at first, Fabian was nice enough to try to help her gain more Twitter followers.

Emotional wounds can manifest in different ways.
On Jane the Virgin Season 3 Episode 12, Jane started having panic attacks as she prematurely quit her job and ran into Michael's old colleague/friend. But as we learned, these panic attacks are nothing new.
Elsewhere in the episode, Petra and Rafael dealt with the fallout from Scott's newly discovered corpse, and Rogelio went on an apology tour.
Even though we are two episodes into the three-year time jump, I'm still adjusting to all the new developments. My biggest worry is still the display of the grieving process.
Thankfully we got more insight into the aftermath of Michael's death, but I can't help but feel a tad disconnected from Jane's journey over the last three years. Skipping over these formative years leaves a lot of unanswered questions about Jane's mindset.
I don't want to miss a single step of Jane's growth.
Thankfully we got...

Now that the big 'O' is out of the way, Jane, the not-so virgin, is settling into married life.
Unfortunately, the reality of marriage is that not every day will be non-stop laughs and love-making. On Jane the Virgin Season 3 Episode 4, Jane and Michael found themselves having to work together to overcome their financial troubles.
Elsewhere in the episode, Anezka's cover may finally have been blown, and Xo took a job as a bank teller. Needless to say, it didn't work so well.
Tackling a budget may seem mundane, especially for a television plot-line, but Jane's journey navigating adulthood must include this type of struggle. In addition to her own hang-ups about money, Jane also needs to learn how to talk about these types of issues with her husband.
Jane and Michael are a team. That doesn't mean they won't fight or disagree, but in the end they have to...

Things were getting a little weird on "Drop Dead Diva" as Jane was bonding with ... well, Jane. The original Jane had returned from Heaven, and was now in the body of Britney. And while she'd originally said she wanted her life back as Jane, that wasn't exactly right.
What she really wanted was for Deb-as-Jane to finish some unfinished business she had by getting a client off of death row. During the process, the two women who shared something remarkable and nearly inexplicable actually bonded.
Jane-as-Britney revealed that her guardian angel had been advising her to stay away from Jane. "She says I need to live my life as Britney," Britney said.
“The best advice I can give you? You have a second chance. Make the most of it," Jane told her.
TV Fanatic described their bonding moments as “the longing to get as close as possible to what they...

Park City, Utah — Stephenie Meyer knows all about obsessive fans. So it makes sense that the "Twilight" author should produce a movie about a woman who takes another writer's work a little too much to heart.
Meyer is a producer on the Sundance Film Festival premiere "Austenland," adapted from her friend Shannon Hale's novel that follows the romantic misadventures of a Jane Austen devotee.
"Austenland" stars Keri Russell as a woman named Jane who is so fanatical about the "Pride and Prejudice" author's fiction that she blows her life savings to visit an Austen-themed British resort. Jane is so fixated on finding her own Austen-style suitor that she has a life-size cut-out of Colin Firth as aloof suitor Mr. Darcy in a BBC production of "Pride and Prejudice."
"I have seen firsthand fanatic fans, passionate people who want to live in that world so badly, who want to be a part of it,...

The West Memphis Three: Joe Berlinger, Bruce Sinofsky's Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory AIDS, American football, horses, the environment, war, the American Injustice System, Harry Belafonte. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced the 15 semi-finalists for the 2012 Best Documentary Feature Academy Award. Included on the list are James Marsh's Project Nim, a nominee for the British Independent Film Awards; Wim Wenders' Pina, Germany's submission for the Best Foreign Language Film Oscar; and Cindy Meehl's Buck, about the man who inspired the book The Horse Whisperer and the ensuing Robert Redford movie. Now, before anyone freaks out because of the inclusion of Undefeated: rest assured that this is Dan Lindsay and T. J. Martin's documentary about underprivileged football players — Lindsay and Martin's effort has nothing to do with the Sarah Palin movie The Undefeated, a shoo-in Razzie nominee. Lorenz Knauer's Jane's Journey,...

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Documentary Branch Screening Committee has announced the 15 film shortlist for the Best Documentary Oscar. The selections were culled from a list of 124 eligible titles.
Some Filmmaker favorites, including films by 25 New Face Directors Danfung Dennis (Hell and Back Again) and Marshall Curry (If a Tree Falls: A Story of the Earth Liberation Front) are in the mix, as are Wim Wender’s Pina, Suki Hawley and Michael Galinsky’s Battle for Brooklyn, and Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinofsky’s Paradise Lost 3. I was sad to see more experimental docs like Bombay Beach and The Arbor left off the list and surprised by the omissions of The Interruptors and Senna.
The 15 films are listed below in alphabetical order by title, with their production company in parentheses and links to our coverage

Documentary fans nationwide should make plans tonight to attend a special one-night only screening of "Jane's Journey," Lorenz Knauer's surprisingly superb film on Jane Goodall. It's probably the most hopeful and inspiring doc I've seen since "The Interrupters." This film is a little more like an ad for an organization (Roots & Shoots) than even that crowd-pleaser, but it's similarly forgivable for primarily promoting a cause and specific program because it's the sort that just can't be denied (well, as we see in the film, Goodall and her son don't always see eye to eye). Also, like "The Interrupters," "Jane's…...

"Leonard Retel Helmrich's Position Among the Stars should be essential viewing for anyone curious to know what the rapidly modernizing 'second world' actually looks like," writes Steve Macfarlane in the L: "motorcycles, bootlegged t-shirts, plastic Tupperware containers, cell phones, and scores of dead cockroaches. Indonesia — the fourth biggest country in the world, and the nation with the largest Muslim population — has been the topic of Helmrich's life work, a trilogy of docs culminating here."
This "third documentary about the same Indonesian family is a dazzler in at least a couple ways," adds Seth Colter Walls in the Voice. "First off, it's the rare final chapter in a decade-plus-long saga — a trilogy that also includes 2001's The Eye of the Day and 2004's Shape of the Moon — that you can slide right into without any prior knowledge. There's a brief 'previously in post-Suharto Indonesia' montage at the beginning that draws...

Angelina Jolie and Jane Goodall embraced in a photograph as part of promotions for Jane's upcoming film Jane's Journey. The famous chimpanzee researcher is the subject of the biography, in which Angelina and Pierce Brosnan appear. The movie will debut in select theaters on Sept. 27, with Jane appearing live via video in select theaters to answer presubmitted questions from fans. Angelina's cameo is just the latest in a long string of projects for the actress, who has recently started talking up her own movie In the Land of Blood and Honey. She opened up about her directorial and screenwriting debut for the October issue of Vanity Fair and posed with her children for the inside spread. Angelina's been all about spending time with her six kids in London lately, while Brad Pitt is busy filming World War Z. Photo courtesy of Eric Liebowitz View Slideshow ›...

Famed chimpanzee researcher Jane Goodall will soon be appearing onscreen with one of her most famous friends: Angelina Jolie. Jane's Journey, a cinematic biography about Goodall, 77, chronicles her worldwide travels, personal footage from her childhood, and her charity work with Jolie. "I was delighted when she told me she would be excited to be a part of the film," Goodall tells People of Jolie, who meets with Goodall in the film inside her home to work on a sustainability project. "Sometimes, caught up in the moment, people promise to give their support but don't, or can't come through. That was not true with Angelina.
