Short but strong
Not a film, but a poem! It has no dialogues at all, but it says much more than if it would had them. The secret is in spectacular combination of the plot and the music. Magic feelings evoked by Keith Jarret's Vienna concert unbelievably illustrate the plot and fit ideally to reflect the overall mood. Archive black and with documentaries alternate with handheld camera footage made in one breath, all genuine and authentic, win the viewer over with their sincerity and spirituality. The plot itself is very social, emotional and sad, with different connotations behind. In fact, the film itself is of documentary, as kids were taken as they are and no professional actors involved. Although this is a one-man-film, I would mention separately an excellent photography work and sense of rhythm. Bottom line - I strongly recommend this short peace of art to be screened for all ages. This film makes strong impression by simple means. One will not regret watching it.
