- Real estate agent Christian travels the countryside scouting for investment prospects. In a forgotten, seemingly abandoned village far off the main roads, he finds more than he is looking for. Getting entangled in an encounter with a taciturn teenage farmhand, he confronts his sexual frustrations and, in the process, gets drawn into the undergrowth of a bloodthirsty rustic community.—Anonymous
- Christian (Oliver Scherz) arrives at an open yet desolate farming property and investigates the area with a digital camera. He parks his black Audi in the dusty driveway before venturing off and finding a dead rabbit caught in a bear trap that is later used to hurt him. There is a five-second shot where a chain is viewed swaying from a clothesline; it is the implied chains that bound Cowboy (Pit Burkowski). After investigating, Christian finally finds Cowboy working on the inside of an old turbine. He then apologizes for interrupting before introducing himself. He then tries to persuade Cowboy to sell his land to his real estate company, claiming that "the large acreage will be an attraction." Cowboy is about to respond when Christian's cell phone goes off, signaling an incoming call from his wife. Cowboy asks if that was his wife, to which Christian nods. He then lifts a piece of heavy equipment and slides it down the ramp before asking Christian for help carrying it to the barn. Christian accepts, tossing his suit jacket over a rusted barrel. Later on, after a hard day of helping Cowboy, Christian goes back to his Audi and decides to type in new information on a laptop while he smokes a cigarette. Cowboy ventures over and asks for a cigarette. Carrying on from the last conversation, Cowboy asks to see a photo of Christian's wife. He investigates the photograph before noticing the expensive car. He asks if he can sit in it, and Christian naively agrees, getting out of the driver's side and allowing Cowboy to sit in his spot. Cowboy peels away from the scene and Christian runs after the stolen car in vain. He is then seen sitting in defeat outside of a small run-down tin shack. Cowboy returns a while later with the car. Frantic to get payback, Christian tosses Cowboy out of the car and drives away. While on the road, he receives yet another call from his wife. He sounds distracted over the phone, which causes his wife to question what has happened. Christian replies, "I don't know," before hanging up. He then realizes that Cowboy still has his wife's photo, so he turns around to retrieve it. It is late at night by the time Christian returns to where Cowboy is living. He storms up to the door, to which Cowboy casually replies, "Did you forget something?" Christian says that he needs his wife's picture back, and Cowboy walks away from the door, granting Christian entrance. Christian observes the dingy space while Cowboy takes a seat at a wooden table. Cowboy nods his head and asks Christian if the picture of his wife is greatly important. Christian says that yes, indeed, it is important to him, and he watches as Cowboy produces the photo from his pocket. He lunges at Cowboy multiple times before grabbing his legs and slamming him against the wall, pinning him and grabbing the photo. Cowboy rips the photo out of Christian's hand in rage. Cowboy leans in to try and kiss Christian, and Christian grabs his shoulders and keeps him against the wall. Relentless, Cowboy goes for another kiss to tease Christian. Christian's resolve weakens, and he ends up begging for more kisses from Cowboy. Cowboy is seen removing his tank top and ripping off the top of Christian's suit and jacket before the two men go into a dark room and eventually have sex. Afterwards, Cowboy brings Christian food. Christian eats, obviously famished, before asking where Cowboy received the food. He said that local women cook the food and bring it to him. When asked if they are possible sexual companions, Cowboy replies, "I will be the father of their children." Christian sees the deep bruises on Cowboy's right ankle and asks what happened, to which Cowboy replies that it's nothing, despite the wound being serious. In the early morning, Christian wakes up and finds Cowboy missing. Upon investigation, Christian sees him off in a distance field of tall grass. He calls out a good morning, but Cowboy doesn't respond, nor does he turn around to greet him. Christian approaches, only to be caught by a bear trap. As he looks around, he sees multiple villagers, all of them malnourished and dirty. Christian pieces it together that Cowboy is only a decoy to lead in unsuspecting people so that a rural community of cannibals can survive. A combine roars to life with a villager driving it, heading right towards the pinned and frantic Christian. He ultimately yanks his foot away from the trap, amputating it in the process. He is then seen trying to stand and run, only to fall to the ground and cry out in pain. He crawls frantically away from the combine while the villagers follow by the side, with Cowboy standing in front of Christian. Christian realizes the chain is back around Cowboy's ankle, hiding the bruises. Unbeknownst to the villagers, Cowboy had fallen in love with Christian and planned on saving him. He easily overpowers the driver of the combine and is seen chasing down the villagers, who try and run away from the machine. This provides enough distraction for Christian to flee, hopping into his damaged car well away from the horrific site. He ties his belt around his upper right leg to try and prevent further blood loss before driving away. He stops at a dusty main road to see a man standing on the median paint. The man turned out to be Cowboy, and Christian rides up to him, looking at his blood-soaked body. He opened the passenger side of the door, and Cowboy slips in, unfazed at the fact that he is naked. Christian nods to Cowboy and begins driving off again, ending the movie with the two of them escaping together. Written by: Audrey Germain
