It is nice to see the closure of getting to 100% refinement, which is its own kind of special storyline and such, but good to see the story moving along and proceed to the high-bar season finale of trying to bring down Lumon.
I watched this episode three times now, but I still don't get the significance of the Waffle Party (i.e. The Eagan bed scene) other than it being setup for Dylan staying late for OTC.
What is even odder is the role Patricia Arquette/Harmony Cobel is playing in terms of what she does/who she is for Lumon. It's almost like she is an unsevered floor leader reporting up to the big bad board, but we have no idea who the board or CEO is until the end of SE01. The firing situation is even odder and her reax from that.
Ultimately, it feels like Stiller doesn't want us to know who the real antagonist of the series is, which has been the most annoying feature of this series so far. We know who the protagonists are, but who are the bad guys here?
In summary, the first twenty minutes were good, not sure about the rest.
