Labelled by the film makers as an "Acid Western" as the film explores not the journey westward to liberation and improvement, but with the nighmarish journey inward to self discovery.
"Curses and Sermons" is adapted from the work of American poet Michael McClure. A leading figure in both The Beat Generation and the Sixties Counterculture, his exceptional body of work and association with figures such as Bob Dylan, Jim Morrison, Dennis Hopper and Jack Kerouac have cemented his reputation as "The Prince of the San Francisco Scene".
