I've seen this twice and I still don't care for it.

This one eludes me.

A divorcée with a daughter tries to cope with life. When she goes for training, leaving her daughter with her blind father, she has a long discussion with a coworker and then comes home.

Is this a Dogma 95 film? It feels like it.

How you feel about this film will depend upon films where very little happens. The camera sits and watches the reactions as people talk and thing and sit and drive and eat. It captures events as if it was filming real life, but at the same time I have no clue as to whether or not you'll want to watch this since its a very static film. Little happens other than talk and what they talk about seems terribly banal. The key sequence, the long talk in the hotel room after training, is mostly two people sitting in separate beds talking. By that time I was kind of at a loss to know why I was watching the film. Its not bad, but I didn't care. I was squirming in my seat. When I got to the end I was like "yes, and?"

To me thats a shame since the performances are really good, the material on the other hand was just hit or miss.

I suppose whether you like this will depend on whether you like to just listen and have things just happen in front of you no matter how unremarkable.

As I said this film eludes me.

------------------ Addendum: I tried this again this morning. I mean the ratings for this are high...maybe I missed something, right? Nope still didn't get it. Lots of meaningful looks, Lots of talk. It meant nothing to me.
