Last year, Jesse Collins won an Emmy. This year, he’s producing the Emmys. Fox and the Television Academy are set to announce on Thursday that Jesse Collins Entertainment has been tapped to serve as producers of this year’s landmark 75th edition of the Primetime Emmy awards.
No host has been named as of yet, and there are still a lot of questions to be answered as to how the writers strike may impact this year’s Emmy Awards, or if the calendar might shift. But for now, the main event is still scheduled to air on Monday, Sept 18 at 8 p.m. Et/5 p.m. Pt on Fox.
Jesse Collins Entertainment takes over from Done+Dusted and Hudlin Entertainment, which had jointly produced the Emmys in 2020, 2021 and 2022, the first two of which were Covid-impacted events. D+D had actually produced the Emmys for five consecutive years, having already been...

Dionne Harmon, fresh off a 2022 Emmy win as co-executive producer of the Pepsi Super Bowl Lvi Halftime Show, has been upped to president of Jesse Collins Entertainment after 10 years with the company. She had served as executive vice president of Jce since 2021.
The promotion, announced on Wednesday by company founder and CEO Jesse Collins, gives Harmon oversight of all aspects of the company’s creative strategy and financial growth, the company said in a statement. She will report to Collins, the executive producer of all programming. He is an executive producer for the Grammy Awards and the 2022 Super Bowl Halftime Show and produced the 2021 Oscars.
In an interview, Harmon told TheWrap she joined Jesse Collins Entertainment when the company was first starting out as primarily a producer of awards shows. However, she said she knew Collins wanted to grow Jce into a full-service production company that was “not in a box.

Country music star Jimmie Allen is set to make his feature film debut with upcoming musical “Be Alright.”
“The Goldbergs’” Hayley Orrantia will co-star, with both Allen and Orrantia in the lead roles.
In “Be Alright,” which is set in New York City in the 1960s, Orrantia plays down-on-her-luck Eve. Things start looking up when she encounters an “old friend with a new mantra” played by Allen.
In keeping with Allen’s musical style, the film is set to have a country flavor. Production will kick off this month at the Warner Bros. lot.
As well as starring in “Be Alright” (which shares a title with a track from his recent album “Tulip Drive”), Allen developed the original story and will produce and co-direct the feature alongside Chris Beyrooty.
Beyrooty wrote the screenplay with Connor Martin.
Joining the team are Emmy Award-winning “Dancing with the Stars” choreographer Tessandra Chavez, who will choreograph the dance numbers,...

Cardi B might soon be making a statement with some new ink — on her face. Earlier this week, tattoo artist Robinson De Los Santos took to Instagram to show a video of himself working on a tattoo on someone’s cheek, saying it was the 29-year-old rapper.
“Trabajo de hoy cardi B,” he captioned the 13-second clip, which translates to “work today.” In the video, De Los Santos concentrates on his client’s cheek, which appears to have red ink on it, while multiple people watch. While it’s hard to tell if it’s in fact Cardi in the clip, a photo of the two was later posted and captured by multiple fan accounts.

This year’s American Music Awards show is looking at some big changes behind the scenes, as ABC and Dick Clark Productions are announcing that Jesse Collins — recently of the Grammys and Oscars — is taking over as showrunner and executive producer, starting with the telecast set for Nov. 21 of this year.
Collins has been on quite the roll recently. In the first half of 2021, he produced the Weeknd’s Super Bowl halftime show, was a co-executive producer of the Grammys, and co-produced the Oscars — as close to a triple crown as you can get in winter and spring TV entertainment events. These followed his production of the 2020 BET Awards, which was regarded by many as the best of the reinvented pandemic-era television awards show broadcasts.
Jesse Collins Entertainment is also being named as a producer of the AMAs, alongside Dick Clark Productions.
