One of the best episodes of the Series
kfer195729 August 2021
S is for Silence is an extraordinary episode. (I will keep this spoiler free). The acting, sound, and music fit the theme of the story. It reminded me of the Buffy episode that also used silence to provide for drama, scares and comedy. I commend all involved for the excellent result in this episode.

Possibly the best episode so far
jmdanley5 September 2021
I can't say enough as to how grateful I am that this series was moved to Paramount+ this season. The scripts this season have been outstanding and far from the conventional storylines of investigating possession cases of the first season.

That being said, this episode has shown that the creativity of Robert and Michelle King, who created this series and wrote this script have completely outdone themselves. With hardly anything spoken, the story is vividly portrayed thought the stellar cast and serio-comic direction by Mr. King, who also deftly handles the more serious scenes.

One can only hope that this series remains creative, witty and, at times, horrifying.

Fantastic episode, the most fun I've had watching this show.

I loved it, the nun was great and it was fun having them operate in that environment. Kristen and the nun had a nice connection, the barrel scene was awesomely funny.

Stand out episode
steven-digby-225 October 2021
One of the best episodes in two series that works because of the extra work the characters and the actors have to put in. The scene washing the barrels (with whiskey) was so funny, and it was nice to see Kristen happy for a change. The subsequent solution was good, but for God's sake don't diagnose from the internet, call a doctor.

Unexpected but the Best Episode in Season So Far
karthika-589843 September 2021
While this Series has ups and downs throughout, This Episode was a complete surprise package. Beautiful is the right word to see the bond that develops between Kirsten and the Dutch nun. Expressions by Kirsten and the nun were too natural and pleasant. Can't believe if it was the same director created this episode as stands different from others. Just loved it.

This was definitely a standout. They communicated so much with no speaking.

Entertainment at it's best

Excellent episode, obviously inspired by the TZ howling man ep story but modified and modernized with the perfect balance of humor and scary! Great writing and the cast once again nailed it. Thanks again for being one of the few shows I look forward to watching. Hopefully we can get a few more seasons written as well as these first two!

So many unanswered questions!
amigajoe1515 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I was kind of annoyed at the end of this one. A lot of elements were introduced, but few resolved. Why was the priest's body uncorrupted? What was the cause of Fenna's stigmata? What was the 'goo' leaking from the box (for decades?!)What was the cause of the scratches inside the coffin AND the demon's box? What was the shadow in the tomb that Ben ran from? Most of all, WHY did the brothers remain silent when it was obvious the box was opened? So many things left on the table, with merely one addressed at all. This felt like a multi-part episode, but wasn't.

Long wait, tedious reading of slates
thomasshahbaz-5254130 August 2021
We don't all own huge TVs, so I was quite irritated to have to keep pausing, going back, squinting, etc to try and read what the F they were writing on those things.

Still a great show though.

Seriously? What happened to this episode?
epurdygirl19 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Who wrote this script? Loose ends enough to strangle the entire episode 5 times over!

Never answered: The stigmata...what happened to their investigating?

Whey didn't the monks speak after the door to the vessel was opened?

Who made the scratches on the inside of the coffin?

Why didn't they clean this messy script all up before airing the episode?

Who was chasing Ben in the caverns and why was it never questioned?

How was the monks body preserved...via bot flys?

Why all these unexplained loose ends? Crazy!

So disappointed in this episode. Had a great starting storyline and went all over the place.

What the heck happened.

Drunk Katja Releases Demon
Johnny_West29 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The three amigos visit a monastery where nobody has uttered a word since 1926, and Katja Hebers immediately gets drunk with a nun who is making wine, and utters BOO at the statue of a saint.

All hell breaks loose as Katja walks around the monastery slamming doors and banging plates to show her contempt for the monastery. The released demon affects several monks and nuns, and the three amigos set out to prove it is not a demon. What is it? Only God knows?

Terrible Episode
the_nephilim7131 August 2021
I absolutely hated this episode. I had trouble reading what they wrote and trouble understanding them when they whispered. Also, when is David going to notice something is up with Kristen? Why hasn't Ben mentioned Kristen's strange behavior to Ben?

When did the show turn into a comedy?
andrew-newson31 August 2021
From great to an embrassment in 60 minutes. Honestly the absurdity of this episode was quite astonishing. Just a hot mess of stupidity.
