Warning: The following contains spoilers for Sunday’s Fear the Walking Dead.
Any Fear the Walking Dead viewer with a brain more functional than a walker’s would have predicted that letting Troy live was going to come back to bite Madison; the only question was how hard. What we might not have predicted — at least I didn’t — was that the teeth marks would get made in somebody else’s flesh. Who was the first to pay the price for Madison sparing her psychotic surrogate son? Read on…

Liz Phair‘s 18-track opus turns 20 today. Pick its best track!
First things first: A part of me lives permanently in the musical world of 1993. Aimee Mann‘s electrically sardonic Whatever, Pj Harvey‘s asthmatic Rid of Me, the Breeders‘ Last Splash, and Janet Jackson‘s best album (janet.) all came out in ’93, and they’re all just as listenable today. They haven’t dated a bit. But the best thing about 1993 is the revelatory, snide, vulgar, funny, cheeky deadpan, and dead-serious masterpiece from Chicago superstar Liz Phair, Exile in Guyville. This weekend the legendary Matador Records disc turned 20, and since it’s my favorite album ever, I thought we’d all pick our favorite of its 18 truly flawless tracks. For all of its renown as a girl-empowering LP, there is so much here for a gay audience. It’s about sexual self-discovery and how electrifying, horrifying, amusing, and annoying that process can be.
