In "Le voyage dans la lune", the narrator incorrectly claims more than once that Harrison Schmitt in Apollo 17 was the only scientist to walk on the moon. If fact, Buzz Aldrin on Apollo 11, the first crew to ever set foot on the moon, held a 1963 doctorate in astronautics from MIT.
In the voiceover it is said that when Ed Fendell sent commands to operate the TV camera on the lunar rover, it took 6 seconds for the signal to reach the Moon and the resultant images to be sent back. In fact it took less than 3 seconds.
Most of the people in the series are portrayed in a visually accurate manner. However Ed Fendell, who controlled the TV camera on the lunar rover from his position in Mission control, is shown as having a full head of black hair, whereas in reality he was practically bald.
Prior to the credits on the digital release, as the list of all Apollo astronauts are scrolling and the photos of the real astronauts display, the photo of Jack Swigert is mistakenly displayed for Ken Mattingly. The photo is then used again to display correctly for Jack Swigert.
In the roll call of astronaut photos at the end, Jack Schmitt is incorrectly labelled as Jake Schmitt.
At the end, when they list/show all the Apollo Astronauts, they accidentally show Jack Swigert's picture twice. They initially show him when they list Ken Mattingly (no picture of Mattingly is shown), then again (correctly) when they list Swigert.
