I'm currently watching on the order of a hundred (whew!) Bud Lee features, having been recently taken with the auteur's talent and wealth of undiscovered gems shot over a 20 year period. "Greased and Oiled" is apparently his final work, and contains hints of why he retired.
It's in the Oiler genre as indicated by the title, but is not a massage epic, but merely gonzo sex with tease. Pointless footage of this sort is not what one expects from Bud, who managed to crank out a laudable variety of short-story porn features that are often quite interesting to watch. Not this time.
Harmony is into self-abuse in the opening segment, sticking her own hand down her throat, then humping a faceless guy who slaps her around and chokes her by request. (I learned in an earlier Kylie Ireland-directed video's BTS that during this period of porn history, it was a given that the girl had to request abuse to make it legal).
The other desultory segments have Sindee Jennings hooking up with a guy who is shocked to see how short she is (it's called jail-bait, baby); ultra-buxom Krissy Lynn ultra-hot having gonzo sex with a guy who's dick is already erect when he enters the frame: no build-up to the scene whatsoever; Eva Karera, yet to reach her current peak in bra size, involved in an actual massage leading to anal sex with a tattooed fellow; and a lesbian finale pairing Madison James and lovely Jennifer Dark.
This was shot for a low-grade subsidiary of Sin City, and one suspects a still young (in his 50s) Bud opted for early retirement rather than continue to work on mindless drivel like this. He made so many entertaining story films back in the day I can identify with his eventual disillusionment, like one of those heroes of a Moravia novel who finds out how the real world can crush one's hopes and shatter one's illusions.
