A Quick Take on Season 6, Episode 2
Vincent_Costigan20 July 2009
I'm not sure what it was, I guess I wasn't feeling last week's premiere. Still a great episode but I gave them the benefit of the doubt that they needed time to set ground work for the season and upcoming character development.

Then BAM! In comes Episode 2. Laugh out loud humour, classic Ari temper/dialogue, the bit about Seth Rogen was funny, classic Entourage party setting with the premiere, the new characters didn't feel forced (Ashley, Autumn Reeser, the chick from Fast and Furious), and great development so far into the sub-plots (Sloan & Eric, Andrew & Autumn Reeser, etc.) Only tiny complaint is that we didn't get a Gatsby clip (which should have been in episode 1 to begin), but realistically, that would have been hard to pull off. At least we got a glimpse at a poster of some kind.

Episode 2, classic Entourage. Probably gonna rewatch it before Episode 3. *NOW* Entourage is back, baby!

Entourage has been a TV show that I have grown up with.

Warning: Spoilers
When the first episode screened I was 15 years old and going through my "Rock Star" stage, it was a new and refreshing show which had everything a teenage boy could have wanted: Fast Cars

Hot Girls

Drugs

With one liners and witty banter to keep you interested in the script. I feel sad in knowing that this show wont be around for ever and with the way that they are developing the characters so far it feels as though this season may be the last. The actors are still convincing in their roles but the scripts, especially the dialogue feels as though its lacking in the punch that the first seasons had. Tonight we were introduced to Ashleigh played by Alexis Dziena, Eric assures Sloan that she is 24, but this woman has the voice and body of a 12 year old girl, making Kevin Connoly's character come across slightly creepy! He gives Drama **** about being old enough to be her grandfather, well E, does that make you old enough to be her father? I'm sure with the vast pool of Actresses at their disposal they could have chosen someone a lot more suited for the role. Jerry Ferrara is looking great as Turtle! His Girlfriend Jamie-Lynn Sigler (who plays herself in this show) must have had him hitting the gym between seasons, I'm sure he has lost a couple of pounds. His musings on Knocked up and Seth Rogan had me amused, the same thoughts have crossed my mind after watching the movie. Autumn Reeser who is best known for playing Taylor Townsend on the O.C was also introduced in tonight's show, a welcome distraction for Miller Gold employee Andrew Klein who I was sure after last weeks performance was going to admit he was in love with Ari. The thing that I have always loved about Entourage is its sense of scope and in one of the final scenes tonight it had the gang walking the Red Carpet towards Grauman's Chinese Theatre for the premiere of Vince's new movie directed by Martin Scorsese. The scene was huge and filled with extras.

It saved what would have otherwise been a pretty average episode.
