Before leaving her home town in Cornwall Grace Kent meets her friend Ruby, the fortune teller who tells her that another man will enter in her live. Some years later Grace is in restaurant with her colleague Jason Benning ,behind their table a cell phone rings and a man answers saying that he is Robert Hayford (the name mentioned by the fortune teller). When Grace wants to see Robert In London she knows that Robert is now in Cornwall. So she travels to her home town and is searching for the doctor Robert Hayford. Her former boyfriend Sebastian has a new girlfriend who travels a lot, so Grace will for some nights in the house of Sebastian. Grace is preoccupied about the health of her father who has become a great collector of belongings of the actress Tamara Larsson.
