Sex & Nudity

  • Two characters kiss in an intimate way.
  • Poison Ivy wears a revealing costume as she has Bruce Wayne under her spell with a kiss.
  • Poison Ivy is seen hanging from vines with her legs around Bruce's hips.
  • Catwoman's costume is skin tight.
  • Poison Ivy is basically naked, but her vines cover the most sensitive parts of her body, though her breast is still visible.
  • A little cleavage is scene.
  • Some innuendos.
  • Poison Ivy and Sofia have somewhat large breast.
  • Several sexual references.
  • Couples kiss.
  • Some nudity.
  • Woman wear curvaceous and busty costumes.

Violence & Gore

  • A man is shot in the throat while speaking mid-sentence and some mild blood is shown pooling around his neck. This is sudden and very upsetting but not graphic.
  • The dead body of a man is seen after he was shot to death, there is a decent amount of blood shown on another man's hands and the dead man's body and neck.
  • A dead woman is implied to have been placed in an elevator, her blurred out body is shown and some blood is seen splattered on the floor.
  • Several scenes of dead victims of gunshot wounds, no gore is shown and blood is very minimal.
  • What really pushes the R rating is the beatings and some of the violence. There's only one scene that sticks out where a man is shot through the throat but that's really it. The rest of the violence occurs and then you see the people in a pool of blood.
  • Towards the beginning of the movie, Bruce is injected with a fear toxin. He goes back to the alley where his parents died. Martha and Thomas Wayne are seen briefly laying dead in the alley surrounded by blood. However, Thomas is the only one with a visible bullet wound.

Profanity

  • Infrequent uses of Damn and the F word is used
  • 1 use of fucking, 4 uses of shit, 1 use of prick, scattered uses of hell, and 1 use of ass.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Scarecrows uses a fear drug on Batman

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • There is a fairly scary scene where the Scarecrow drugs Batman. A cocoon-like corpse is seen hanging from a tree, which scarecrow grabs and pulls down by the throat. This causes the head and body to separate, at which point the (now talking) decapitated head is thrown at Batman.
  • Scarecrow speaks with a creepy voice and is very frightening.
  • A woman explains that was she once pregnant with a man's baby and that her unborn baby was brutally murdered.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Sex & Nudity

  • A major plot point involved Falcone employing Poison Ivy to control Bruce Wayne and his wealth with her pheromone mine control powers. One scene shows Bruce in a trance and he is commanded to come to Ivy. Vines lift him up and she wraps her legs around him. The vines pull them towards the wall and the two disappear in the foliage covering the wall. The camera pans away focusing on the spot, likely implying that non consensual sex is taking place.

Violence & Gore

  • A character has a gun placed against his neck and is shot twice, no blood is shown but this is very upsetting and sudden.
  • A major antagonist is very suddenly shot in the head by a sniper, no blood is shown but this is very jarring to see.
  • A character falls out of a window and is killed upon landing on a police car. Sudden but not bloody.
  • A man is used as a human shield and is shot repeatedly by another man - not graphic but some blood is shown on his body before he is thrown and hits his head on a car bumper, killing him. The attacker then tackles the second man into a river and eventually breaks his neck.
