Who better for Maggie (Missy Peregrym) to talk about a major life decision than her friend Jessica? And we thought we loved the reunion on FBI before! Now, TV Insider’s exclusive sneak peek of the March 26 episode, “Unforeseen,” offers a tease of the big step that Maggie’s about to take. Maggie’s arc about motherhood continues, with Jessica talking to her about being tired because her daughter, Ella, keeps crawling into bed with her at 3:00 a.m. “Then she’s out cold,” Jessica says. “I’m up all night.” Maggie reveals she “told Isobel that I might start to try,” and “she’s very supportive,” but “I’m just not sure that I’m ready for the stress of it all—and the uncertainty.” Jessica asks if she’s talking about IVF or motherhood. Watch the full video above for more about how Maggie’s feeling about...

The FBI universe may have just returned to the air after almost a year off, but sadly, we’re already getting a short break in the schedule.
Unlike in the past, this latest hiatus has nothing to do with the show’s production schedule.
Instead, the shows on the broadcast network will take a breather on Tuesday, March 5.
After such a long break between seasons, a surefire way to ruin the momentum for FBI, FBI: International, and FBI: Most Wanted is to put them on hiatus.
But this time, it’s necessary. There was the hope that with all CBS dramas airing truncated seasons, the breaks in the schedule would be pretty much non-existent.
The three FBI universe series have aired three episodes, so we’re still very early into their latest runs.
When will the FBI universe return to CBS?

“Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent” may be the biggest original TV series premiere Canada has ever had. That means, when that famous “dun-dun” opens the series on Feb. 22 via Citytv, the pressure is on.
It’s notoriously hard to get a show greenlit in Canada. Funding challenges, market size and competition from U.S. acquisitions mean few, if any, Canadian series debut on the Big 3 commercial networks each season. Even public broadcaster CBC, which boasts the highest number of originals on a major network, still relies on acquisitions to fill out its primetime programming grid.
Figuring out how to make noise with a new series in a crowded landscape isn’t a uniquely Canadian challenge, but there are more hurdles here. That’s why from the beginning, a Canadian adaptation of “Criminal Intent” felt like a win — at least from a viewership and marketing standpoint. It’s a recognizable...

Annie Murphy's career on screen began in the mid-2000s, and since her breakout role in the beloved sitcom "Schitt's Creek," she has had a number of notable roles in film and TV. The actor made her TV debut in the 2007 television film "Lethal Obsession" and went on to have supporting roles in both Canadian and American works, including "Blue Mountain State" and "Rookie Blue."
By the early 2010s, her acting career began to plateau, and Murphy's work was inconsistent. It wasn't until 2013, when she auditioned for the role of Alexis Rose in "Schitt's Creek," that her career really took off. In a 2020 interview on "The Kelly Clarkson Show," Murphy explained, "Just before 'Schitt's Creek,' things were quite bleak. My house had just burnt down. I had like $3 in my bank account. I hadn't worked in close to two years. And I had just blown my...

The life of Fallon Fox, the first openly transgender fighter in Mixed Martial Arts, is the subject of a new film in development at Mark Gordon Pictures.
Fox’s story will be scripted by wedded writing team T Cooper and Allison Glock-Cooper, whose credits include NBC’s “The Blacklist,” BBC America’s “Copper” and Netflix’s “The Get Down.”
Originally hiding her transgender identity when she began competing in Mma, Fox feared transphobia would bring rejection from the wildly popular league. After nearing the upper echelons in ring, a journalist threatened to out Fox, who then boldly told her truth in interviews with Outsports and Sports Illustrated. The stories both inspired and caused backlash as well as further transphobic rhetoric in a debate over whether a woman who was assigned male at birth should be able to fight in women’s divisions in Mma.
Fox will serve as a consultant on the project.

Samuel L. Jackson is set to reprise the role of Nick Fury in a new Marvel series currently in development at Disney Plus, Variety has learned exclusively from sources.
The exact plot details of the show are being kept under wraps, but multiple sources say Jackson is attached to star with Kyle Bradstreet attached to write and executive produce. Like all the other Marvel shows at Disney Plus, Marvel Studios will produce.
Reps for Jackson, Bradstreet, and Disney did not immediately respond to Variety‘s request for comment.
Jackson famously portrayed Fury, the monocular head of the clandestine government agency S.H.I.E.L.D, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe going back to the post-credits scene in the first “Iron Man” film in 2008. He has appeared in multiple films within the McU since, most recently portraying Fury in “Spider-Man: Far from Home,” “Avengers: Endgame,” and “Captain Marvel.” He also...

CBC, the show's home in Canada, has officially picked up a fourth season of the hit drama series.
Eight new episodes have been ordered for Burden of Truth Season 4, meaning that fans will get some much-needed resolution to everything that happened at the end of Burden of Truth Season 3.
"Both Burden of Truth and Diggstown look at the legal world through a distinct lens by highlighting systemic corruption, injustice and discrimination in the legal system, including anti-Indigenous and anti-Black racism," said Sally Catto, General Manager of Entertainment, Factual & Sports, CBC.

The 100 took a break from its regularly scheduled programming on Wednesday to tell the story of the Second Dawn, filling in a few key blanks about Shepherd Bill, the death of Becca Franco and the reason Clarke & Co. found bunker banners all the way on Nakara. (Ok, maybe more than a few blanks were filled.)
Our story begins on the (first) last night of the world. A young rebel named Callie Cadogan (played by Iola Evans) is once again arguing with her parents about what she plans to do with her future, a dramatic exchange they’ve clearly played out numerous times already.

U.S. broadcast networks are acquiring and planning to acquire international series on a scale not seen since the 2007/08 Writers’ Strike.
The Covid-19 global pandemic has provided a boon for global distributors, many of which have long struggled to sell content to the likes of ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC and The CW.
This week, we have seen The CW pick up British comedy series Dead Pixels, produced by Succession creator Jesse Armstrong’s production company Various Artists, and Canadian procedural The Coroner and NBC has bought Canadian medical drama Transplant.
Deadline has spoken to a number of international sales execs, who are seeing unprecedented demand for English-language shows that could help plug gaps caused by the production shutdown. We have also highlighted a number of titles, finished and in the can, that may travel to the States.

I must admit that I didn't have high hopes for The Rookie.
First off, the show's concept seemed a little light-weight. A 40-year-old is the oldest rookie to join the Lapd. It left me wondering what difference that would make after he gets through his initial training because there are plenty of 40-something police officers.
Then there was the show creator, Alexi Hawley, who was also the co-showrunner for Castle Season 8. I loved Castle, but you only have to read my Castle Season 8 reviews to find out how much I vehemently despised that final season.
Finally, there was the spoiler which reported that John Nolan, the 40-year-old rookie would be sleeping with a fellow officer about half his age.

The CW announced on Tuesday that it will renew “Burden of Truth” and “The Outpost” for their second seasons in summer 2019.
Also returning are reality series “Masters of Illusion,” “Penn & Teller: Fool Us” and “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” The CW also announced that it has acquired the British cop series “Bulletproof” from Sky Vision.
The network kicks off its fall slate on Tuesday night with the return of “The Flash” and “Black Lightning.” Tomorrow, its new drama “All American” will premiere, and its Sunday night programming will begin this weekend with “Charmed” and the return of “Supergirl.”

“Bulletproof” follows two undercover cops, Bishop and Pike as they chase down hardened criminals in London’s East End. But the series is more than high-octane action and thrilling cases.

Rookie Blue vet Missy Peregrym is once again donning a badge — but make no mistake, her FBI Special Agent Maggie Bell is not Andy McNally.
“[Maggie is] a more mature version [of Andy],” the actress tells TVLine. “I don’t think that [Maggie is] as open and expressive in the same way that [Andy] was.” And unlike the rookie cop, Maggie is a highly skilled pro, who is “good at what [she does] and [has] been doing this a long time.”
But that didn’t make the FBI series-regular gig any less terrifying for Peregrym, who details below why taking on the lead role in executive producer Dick Wolf’s...
