- GoofsWhen Madison is buried up to her neck on the beach, the sand flexes as she breathes. But if Dickens really were buried up to her neck, the sand would not flex, like it did, when she would breathe. Sand would compact on her and not flex making breathing difficult. Obviously, she was placed in a hole (and sand not placed in the hole with her) while a cloth was placed around her neck. Sand was then placed on top of the cloth (and that would flex as she breathed), giving the illusion that she was buried up to her neck.

"Gone" feels more like a premiere than a finale, overall quite average
Sharat Raju directed this week's episode of Fear TWD, his direction and visual storytelling was good. The cinematography and editing were actually quite great, with some nice transitions. The sound editing and musical score is fantastic. Most of the flaws from season 7 are still present, and the writing is extremely flawed. Some of the dialogue, actions and motivations are stupid and very forced, and the characters are still not upfront with things but this time they have a reason for it but it's still boring storytelling. Andrew Chambliss and Ian B. Goldberg and the staff writers are unfortunately unable to write good dialogue. They come out sounding wooden and unrealistic, then again, dialogue can be hard to write. But these guys are poor at it, Fear deserves better writing overall, like the quality it had in S1-3.
Morgan finds a new ally who turns out to be more trouble than he bargained for. That's the premise of the episode and well there's not much happening except Morgan learning more about Padre and the return of Madison Clark. It is nice to see Kim Dickens but if the showrunners would ever think her arrival would take away all the bad writing, they were wrong, I also think she should have appeared half way through instead of in this episode. Lennie James is great in this episode as Morgan Jones.
"Gone" is the season finale of the seventh season, I have to admit that the previous episode felt more like a finale than this, whilst this episode has only one main and supporting actor from the season and it's Morgan. That's one of the things I dislike with the anthology format, but the writers failed again in delivering a good episode. There's almost no tension or suspension and the return of Madison doesn't feel right, it felt right in season 5 and 6 when Alicia was still in the show. With Charlie dying, almost every storyline revolving around Madison is gone. But it's still nice to see Kim Dickens back in the role as the matriarch of the Clark family, I hope the writers and showrunners don't assassinate her character like they have done to almost everyone but so far it's not a promising start. Something I have thought about this season is how many characters the showrunners introduce and then kill off after one episode or they just disappear, every single episode, they're ranging from bad to good. This episode we actually got a good one and she showed so much potential, it's one of many things the showrunners fail at. I hold onto my opinion that we need and deserve new showrunners for season 8 but with them already starting filming, I'm sure that will be in season 9 if we're lucky, there's a possibility that the quality will be better in season 8 because of the new location. This nuclear setting was the worst story arc and the worst season in the TWD Universe.
