COUNTDOWN TO THE WEDDING!
tcchelsey7 April 2024
Approximately TWO WEEKS to go for the big wedding, which would be a ratings hit for the series, and would inspire many other sitcoms in years to come.

Series writer George Tibbles did it right, and as can be expected. Trouble in paradise. There's a conflict between Barbara and Steve. Barbara wants a big, lavish wedding and Steve wants to keep it simple. Who will win out? The scenes between Fred MacMurray and Beverly Garland are well done, except did you catch the blooper?

Directed Fred De Cordova missed it. Instead of calling her Barbara, Steve calls his future wife Beverly! That's a first. Surprised they didn't do a second take, but these scenes were all probably one takes because Fred and Beverly were old pros.

Naomi Stevens (who we all love!) is back as Mama Rossini and look for famous violinist Aladdin, playing Cesare. Aladdin appeared on many variety shows, such as the Lennon Sisters. He passed about a year after this episode following a long illness. He made nine appearances on the series in various roles.

SEASON 10 EPISODE 6 remastered color. The first five seasons are always available on dvd. Thanks to METV for rerunning this classic.
