"Interplanet Janet" was another "Schoolhouse Rock" cartoon
tavm30 August 2020
Written and sung by Lynn Aherns, this was another pretty entertaining "Schoolhouse Rock" cartoon shown between various ABC Saturday Morning shows during the '70s and '80s. Ms. Aherns sings about Interplanet Janet who goes to the various planets like the Sun which she finds "a gas" as the song also mentions it has "hydrogen and helium". Mercury has "too much mercury", Venus has too many clouds, and Earth has weird creatures she couldn't even say hello to. Other planets are mentioned concluding "Pluto is the furthest one from the Sun". Obviously, this was before Pluto was no longer considered a planet. Not great but still pretty entertaining "Schoolhouse Rock" cartoon.
