Episode 5

Warning: Spoilers
I imagined that the show would provide answers about the Man and how he got here.

I did not expect it would be a LSD fuelled hallucination.

It allows the writers some imagination and avoid a straightforward narrative.

The psychedelic aspects works. The Man collides with various people in his imaginations. He himself is just a boring accountant who got mixed up with Kostas.

As for Kostas, he was a long term mark of Luci who planned to rip him off.

DI Lachlan Rogers is not a crooked cop. He has been forced to work for Kostas. His wife has been abducted.

Things are nicely set for the finale. I guess one or two characters will have a redemption.

[7.3] The rejuvenating extract

Warning: Spoilers
Episode 5: Oh Victoria, how devilish you were to have dragged Elliott, the simple accountant, into that sh.t!

Nice above-average episode with the fog finally dispersing in The Man's head, all thanks to Kostas' rejuvenating water!

Nice needed developments throughout, some average to nice acting, some Helene and Ethan fillers and if the writers haven't drunk Kostas' rejuvenating extract, they would bring us satisfaction with a shady orange finale.

Roll on!

...and now for something completely different.

All parties come together, Kostas finally catches up with Elliot, and the real reason as to why The Greek has such an issue with 'The Man's is revealed.

The motive of the story, never drink from another man's bottle of water, because you never quite know what you're going to get.

I definitely get why this episode was somewhat polarising, it was astonishingly weird and very trippy. The problem is, because we've seen things through the purple haze of Elliott's fuzzy eyes, it's hard to know if what we've seen is true or not, did any of it actually happen.

I quite enjoyed it, definitely not what I was expecting, but it was fun, in a bizarre, surreal kind of way.

Elliot an Accountant, not quite sure I can picture that somehow.

I was expecting it to be.....well a different brother shall we say.

7/10.

Slight drop in quality

Now that we're coming to the end you can see that the writers are struggling a bit to finish this show properly.

Hoping the finale will be alright though.

Let's Go Trippin'

When the Man (the amnesiac) drinks from Kosta's water bottle, he begins to hallucinate and see all kinds of things. It seems that Kosta puts a few drops of LSD in his bottle. The Man is forced by Kostas give him a bag containing a million dollars. He and the dying detective are out in the desert with Kostas and he is forcing the Man to give him the money. Of course, he doesn't remember anything specific, but as he works, things begin to settle in his brain. He sees his connection with the bad guy and what went down: the truck crash, the meeting with psychotic cowboy, and so on. Anyway, there were some spaces filled out and I suspect more answers will come. My sadness is that they are going to drag this into another season and I am getting old.

Great until E5....

Episode 5 is boring and just wasteful "filling". And too strange and no humour. We both actually fell asleep. Really a shame because the first 4 episodes was addictive 😕
