French acting..... Spoiling a good story
thouty30 December 2023
I loved the book so i watched the show... Oof it's so poorly acted. The main actress learned her text in French, that she did.. But it's such a bad acting. I usually don't like French productions cause the acting is bad. It's usually bearable.. But. Ooof! I'm sorry but she does not know how to act in her second language.. Even Jean Reno disappointed me a little bit but that's not his usual style of role so it's okay!

I'll still watch the whole show but, at the risk of repeating myself, oof! It's awful to watch her. She seems to not believing any word she is saying.. I guess if you don't speak French it won't be noticed as much! So give it a go! The storyline is good.

This French series take on something that many of us would really, really love to be given the opportunity.... Given 6 days, after your untimely demise, to come back to life and have closure and possibly make amends to a loved one.

Although the movie starts with a funeral, It's not a sad story at all, actually.

There's a healthy mixture of comedy and drama !

Of course, Jean Reno plays a huge part in the character of the father who has 6 days with his estranged daughter.

I enjoyed what Jean Reno achieved in the series.

A father who thought he did his best as a father but had failed his daughter.

Casting is very good especially the daughter best friend who tries to understand what's happening and support her.

Filming locations are impressive and camera shots of fantastic spots in Berlin, Paris and Bruges.
