This is nine and a half minutes of perfectly thought out writing and cinematography. The twist is wonderfully foreshadowed, lines like "are you sure I've never taught you this before?" and my favorite, the one about how he should "Never rewind, always keep the tape moving forward." It's definitely a great showcase of Brian's great acting, writing, and especially directing skills. The changes between each cycle are subtle enough that you won't even notice them until you're looking, and the dark hallway being the only thing we see aside from Jake's dad manages to make it unsettling even before it starts going weird.
