Destroyed everything in its path
cjonesas27 August 2021
At last, mumbo No.13 providing some closure to a dismal season. Its main issue was a very poor screenplay, which destroyed everything in its path (acting, score, moments...).

Learn to run girl

Warning: Spoilers
A lot to unpack in the season finale of Clarice, I like that the main storyline was cleaned up and there was just a tidbit left at the end to keep you wondering. I didn't like that Clarice got kidnapped, yet again, girl learn to run or something. Also a bit of an overstatement as Clarice says "We got 'em", um no you urged Tyson to self destruct and take his father and weird siblings with him.

A strong finish Warning: Spoilers
This series is based on the first book of a trilogy about characters Clarice Starling, and Hannibal Lecter, written by Thomas Harris. "Silence of The Lambs". The last half of the season was much better than the first. Having said that, I found it disturbing. . Americans love horror stories. We love being "scared to death"...but not quite. In a foreword to Hannibal, Harris thanks those who helped him...but said that the evil therein came "from his own stock". How does that happen? Was he exposed to such evil in his own life? Did he experience such depravity, or did he summon it up from what he observed, and through how it affected him? We are fed a constant diet of fear and dread through the media...whether it is the result of the actions of others, things that MAY happen to us, or the imaginings of a TV show, or movie. This is not a healthy situation. It exerts an influence. Both consciously, and unconsciously. The visual media is overwhelming in it's ability to change our way of perceiving life. Clarice was of this nature. The baring and battering of the human soul. I am beginning to wonder if most human beings are ABLE to withstand the onslaught of continuing terror. I am wondering if we SHOULD expose ourselves to this tsunami of psychic savagery. I certainly don't feel better, I don't feel more equipped, or empowered by the hate exposed in this show. I feel sad, and dismayed. And less hopeful. Because I know that corruption in America is growing.

I liked it

It took me a few episodes to get into this show, but I'm glad I stuck with it. But as per usual with any show I like, it gets cancelled in short order, just like this one was. Won't even be moving to Paramount+ apparently. Well, perhaps Amazon will pick it up. Probably not "wholesome" enough for Apple TV+ however.

Powerful ending
Pnkprinses3096 July 2021
I hope this show comes back somehow, I did love and enjoy it despite the angry republicans screaming about things that are things.

I want clarice to get a visit from her favorite serial killer, Hannibal.

This show is amazing and deep; so well written. I will never forget it if this is all.

Severely anti-climactic, I felt nothing.

The scary bad guy just wasn't scary. I watched actors read lines and go through the motions. Yikes.

Not bad...for a series finale.
Carycomic28 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I can't say I'm sorry to hear it wasn't renewed, either. The series has been less-than-riveting since Episode 4. And the only good thing I can say about this episode is that it at least provided closure! For Attoreny-General Martin and her daughter. For the next-of-kin of Old Man Hagen's victims. And--last but not least--for Clarice, herself. She's reunited with her estranged mother while simultaneously realizing the father she idolized had feet of clay. So, all in all, I say again...not bad.

But, it could have--and should have--been a lot better!
