On the 1966 "Star Trek" episode "The Enemy Within," Captain Kirk (played by one-time /Film writer William Shatner) beams up from a geological research mission covered in a rare magnetic dust. The dust causes a glitch in the Enterprise's transporter, resulting in Kirk bifurcating into two separate beings. The first Kirk to beam up contains all of Kirk's intelligence and rationality, while the second Kirk -- arriving a few moments later -- contains all of his aggression or anger. With a "good" captain and an "evil" captain on board the Enterprise, mayhem ensues.
By the end of the episode, both Kirks must face off, and then, naturally, reunite. Spock (Leonard Nimoy) points out that Kirk cannot be an effective captain without his irrational rage and aggression; as a gentle person, he's not complete. The "evil" Kirk is a madman but he's also a vital part of Kirk's core being. "The Enemy...

Warning: This Star Trek: Picard article contains Major spoilers through the Season 1 finale.
When the La Sirena warps into the great unknown at the end of “Et in Arcadia Ego Part 2”, you could make a strong case that Season 2 of Star Trek: Picard needs a new title. Though the first season of Picard certainly told the tale of how Jean-Luc got caffeine back in his Earl Grey mojo, it also, for the first time, took a very detailed look at the story of how a crew in the Final Frontier comes together. But what does the ending of the Picard Season 1 finale mean?
Put on your La Sirena seatbelt, and put down the snakeweed pipe, let’s assimilate the biggest moments from the season 1 finale of Star Trek: Picard, before we deactivate this simulation in favor of another one. Engage!

As it prepares to launch a join streaming service with TF1 and M6, French public broadcaster France Televisions has signed a three-year pact with five local producers guilds to have exclusive rights to all the original drama, documentary and animation content that it co-finances.
Under the agreement, France Televisions will own rights to programs for all windows, from free-to-air to Svod. The deal is a blow to Netflix, for which France Televisions has been the top supplier of French library content.
The pact was signed by France’s main producers guilds: Spi, Satev, Spect, Spfa and Uspa. These include high-profile producers such as Haut et Court (“The Returned”), Bonne Pioche (“March of the Penguins”), Camera Lucida (“The Enemy”) and Mon Voisin Productions (“Call my Agent!”).
This latest development was expected as France Televisions recently announced that it was partnering with France’s two commercial networks, TF1 and M6, to launch Salto,...

The Enemy Trailer has premiered. Dejan Zecevic‘s The Enemy / Neprijatelj (2011) stars Aleksandar Stojkovic, Vuk Kostic, Tihomir Stanic, Ljubomir Bandovic, and Marija Pikic. The Enemy‘s plot synopsis: “The year is 1995. A small engineering squad has welcomed Dayton Agreement in mountains, not far from the ruins of a local factory that was destroyed in combat. In that strange atmosphere, the squad finds a walled-in basement in ruins of the factory – and in it a man, which quietly sits behind a desk, next to an ashtray filled with cigarette buds, as if he was actually waiting for them. Pandora’s Box is opening…” This film certainly seems to have some tricks up its sleeve if this movie trailer is any indication. The parts where one of the characters says whom he believes the walled-in-man to be and that “he created this world” are two of my favorite moments. The film looks well-shot as well.
