Ernesto Vaser is drafted into the army, where everyone looks to be a foot taller than he, and his uniforms start too large and seem to keep on growing.
It's a very funny short service comedy, one of several starring "Fricot". It has just been posted on the Eye Institute's YouTube site as FRICOT SOLDATO. I've seen Vaser in support in a few "Robinet" comedies, supporting Marcel Perez, but these are the first I've noticed with him in the lead, and they are well-constructed and executed. If you have a taste for slapstick, they should tickle your funny bone; they are pitched more like American comedies in an era when European slapstick was often bonebreakingly harsh. Instead of killing themselves for a laugh, the Fricot comedies work on finding humor in the performer.
