Both of the hosts are fairly funny with good writers and staff. Apparently they are not as good without it. They spend way too much time trying to be funny and just being tiresome. But the grandmas are great (and would be better hosts) the talent is good but a little too "lets have a diversity meeting to select candidates" to really ring true to a competition. But they are all talented. Overall I wouldn't recommend it as too much time spent with poor hosts impacts overall quality.

Recipe for the world's most boring baking show

Step one: All the contestants should be well adjusted, carefully diverse, and have equally decent, but not brilliant, abilities.
Step two: The set should look like the Hallmark store in the Whoville outlet mall.
Step three: Add four grandmas who, even though there's a gruff one, a sarcastic one, and a feather-brained one, manage to be nothing like the Golden Girls.
Step four: Throw in Andy Samberg, but put him in a sweater and make him behave.
Seriously, I made it through the first challenge of the first episode. Two of the teams literally made the same thing and the winner got a brooch straight from the Avon catalog. Just aggressively bad.
