Finally
paharohgrim6 January 2023
A movie that showcases the cross over and benefits of sim racing to real racing. I have personal experience with sim racing and grass roots drifting. Now maybe people will chill on talking down to the sim "nerds" give it a shot themselves and see if they can use that knowledge that truly does translate to real world applications. Had my grinning and at certain points during the tandems goose bumps. No CGI all skill. Makes me want to break out my sim rig and go out and purchase another drift car. Even my wife wants to try both now. Truly enjoyable and fun for the whole family who knows maybe it will inspire your kids.

This is my favorite Japanese film.
ryutahatsuzawa17 June 2022
The director spent three years researching, planning, and writing the script for this original story about an e-sports racer aiming for the pinnacle of real drifting.

The racing scenes are amazing, with the king of drifting supervising and past D1 champions participating as drivers!

The sound of the engines, the smoke from the explosions, and the camera work are "breathtaking."

The footage is shot from angles never seen before, so it's even more awesome than the actual racing!

The intersection of virtual and real is also great!

Also, the music is cool!

If you see it in a movie theater, your senses will be stimulated and even if you are not a car enthusiast, you will be moved by it.

The actors' performances are also excellent, and I watched the movie without blinking or holding my breath from beginning to end.

The king of drifting said, "I think this is a movie that car lovers all over the world will admire.

The Drift Champion said, "I'm sure you've seen all kinds of awesome drifting driving scenes on DVD before, but it's not on that level, it's more awesome! The drifting driving in the movie is not at that level!" He evaluated the film as follows.

The people involved are amazing!

Naoki Nakamura (Drift Grand Prix Series Champion in 2021)

Taigo Saito (World's first "Lamborghini" Drift)

Masato Kawabata (The holder of the Guinness World Record for the fastest drifting)

Sumika Kubokawa (Drift Ladies League champion for three consecutive years)

Masashi Yokoi (Drift Grand Prix Series Champion in 2018 and 2019)

I don't think anyone would say this movie wasn't interesting.

I could feel the "passion" of Director Shimoyama Ten who directed and edited the film. Thank you for the emotion!

This is the best movie in Japan! As a Japanese, this is my favorite Japanese movie.

The BEST Driving movie with a story line I've seen
andrewsmith-058126 January 2023
This is easily at the top of the list for an action movie that has driving with a story line. It captures the heart of those that grew up playing racing games and plucks the heartstrings of the dreamer in you of becoming a race car driver one day. The best parts are the ones that a normal person who doesn't know cars can understand but also someone who drives, and more importantly drifts, sees as an important detail in the driving. (We are all tired of 27 gear changes in a chase scene from the other movies) (NO SERIOUSLY!!) Overall, this is a great movie and can be appreciated by all who watch.

the whole underdog rising to success thing might be a bit cliche
noshouse11 August 2023
People who are great at racing and people who are skilled in electric racing might seem unrelated, but once they step into each other's territory, it's a whole different experience. The whole underdog rising to success thing might be a bit cliché, but it also shows you that the difference between the virtual world and real life is all about physical strength and the will to survive. You've gotta grab your own opportunities to earn that trust from the team. But this Japanese movie, man, it really captures the racing world's perspective with those sick drifts on the track, and that intense rush from the front view of the car. And you know what? It also hints at the real-life business sponsorships in racing and the cold, hard decisions behind the scenes.

Gran Turismo 1 to Real Life Drifting Performance Shop Owner In Japan!
PinkuStyle20 June 2022
In the age of movies with a lot of computer-generated graphics, it was very refreshing to see Alive Hoon which features many top-level Japanese drift drivers. All of what you will see is real motion. The movie will be relatable to many of the people like myself whom got into cars as a result of Gran Turismo was a great hit. 1997 is when my love of cars began from GT1 now I am a pro drifter and pro automotive performance shop owner living in Japan!!

Go See!!

the car movie we all needed
tugget6 January 2023
This really is a great movie, 100% will become a cult classic soon if it hasnt already began...the driving shots are so spot on an some of the angles theyve achieved are remarkable. The director has captured some really amazing footage of the characteristics of how a car actually reacts in situations an it's beautiful. Nothing faked or CG'd, just pure automotive elegance.

The story line is also a nice down to earth realistic tale, being a simracer and a amateur drifter, this movie is 1 that i could understand emotionally from start to finish.

Its awesome to have people out there that still want to make movies like this.

Refreshed

So refreshing to see a drift movie that's not cringe our outdated but involved the real world of what drifting currently realy is.. Over joyed to watch this seeing all my drift heroes present ♥

And also it touches upon one of the greatest rising industries in motorsport!! Simulation!!!

The future is going to be crazy.. I always have this theory that when cars phase out everyone's gonna be fully cracked onto the Sim.... So the earlier people solidify their names and presence into the Sim Drifting industry the better

But besides that... Super happy about this one. Hope it catches onto the international world.

Awesome
hgoku-781356 January 2023
This movie was dope and one of the best racing related movies I've seen in awhile. A long time friend put me on with drifting through GT to be exact. Miss the days of being able to actually go to a drift competition. The production that went into this was well thought out and it was a joy to watch. The driving scenes were all fast-paced and beautifully done without the need for any CGI nonsense. A classic underdog story which teaches to believe in one's self and also to never underestimate anybody for anyone can rise up and be a champion of something. Real drivers and real cars whats not to like? 100% recommend.

I freaking loved this movie's plot
ortega_willie7 January 2023
I have been involved with the drifting community for over a decade here in the states. In a million years I never wouldve though I would see such a honestly wholesome well written movie about drifting. It literally is about drifting. No crazy cgi, no crazy criminal gang war. Just a perfect story about the a young man, a team, and how driving has evolved. I saw alot of my personal experiences in the drifting community displayed on here. The driving is phenomenal. You feel like you're in the car with them. The cars sound exactly like they should. The anti-lag, turbos, blow off valves the tire sound exactly the way it does. Thank you for this awesome peice of work.

sachiyoxronos20 June 2022
This movie not use CG, all car race situations are Real! When YouTube web site up this movie's trailer, account stoped. Because this video is sensitive! YouTube think , car accident seen is "real car crash accident" ! Speaking reality, car crash accident seen for this movie.

What I want to say soooo Real Drift !

Supervisor is Keiichi Tsuchiya , he is Drift KING!

He not agreed fake drift driving.

He ordered Real Drift Driving.

In movie car drifting by Real D1 pro driver Naoki Nakamura and Masashi Yokoi , they are real champions in D1GPX.

Useing car and mechanic are all real Team.

You can find end roll so many real car Team and company and technical support.

A true drifting action film!
griproyalofficial1 February 2023
Having been involved with drifting for a couple decades now it's a breathe of fresh air to see a properly made movie that covers the real aspects of drifting! I loved seeing drifters that have inspired the sport playing their parts within the film! The cars are real drift cars that if you're involved with the motorsport, will recognize and appreciate. The shooting style and camera angles are top notch. Most of the time this motorsport gets captured from the same angles. This really gave drifting the proper "action effects" that you feel while doing it, but through a lens! Very well done by everyone involved and I hope this film carries you all far!
