divorce.....?!!!
ops-525355 November 2022
This is a very sweet little comedy coming outta sweet little denmark, where the sweet little mountains are so small, and the spoken language, even though i'm norwegian and linguistically related to danish cant understand a word-off what they say so i had to read english cc to follow the dialouges, about a sweet little divorce that comes out of a sweet little cloud like thunderstruck...

realisticly, well its not even near the real hate and revenge factor that usually lingers between friends for years have become bitter fo's.

But take it for what it is, its ironic, fun, sexy and the lead female is just marvelous in her acts.

Im not a divorcee, but ive observed many, so let this one be the one, baby?? Though its 15 minutes too long, its a recommend from the grumpy old man.

Not as bad as the other reviews

Just to see Mille D. In a role since " Rita" warrants a starting star rating of 5 stars. The story is predictable ( no spoilers), but, because Miss Denisen is so engaging, I felt that the movie went rather swiftly. Kudos to Maja's ( Mille's) friend and colleague, Signe. One flub, where did the Frisbee go, on the Walk home?

The plot, Maja gets dumped by her husband of 20 years. The opening scenes, pre- dumping, are written very well, as she recaps her life. Her teenage son is, as ornery as most teenage boys, and it pissed me off that he couldn't see the Forrest for the trees, at how cool and great his mom is.

She tries the dating scene, and it was pretty cool when she hooks up with a young guy.

There are many predictable scenes, but, still, not like throwing your remote at the t.v. Bad.

In America, we have a channel called Lifetime, which has neatly wrapped up with a bow, movies.

This, would be a hit on this channel.

Youth of life

/ Rita director Lars Kaalund again directs Mille Dinesen

Dinesen gives a great performance as the scorned Maja. She has a special ability to express deep pain in one moment and courage and primal strength in the next. It seems convincing. It is she who carries the film. It bears witness and gives desire to the life of youth, and just grabbing life by the balls, even with the adult adversity that tries to brace legs.

Take My Hand is not a great movie. The plot itself and the ending of the film is quite predictable. That being said, the film is well written, entertaining and fun. I honestly don't remember the ending and it's not a movie I need to see again, but despite that it's a nice movie.

... she's 48.. he's 32 ... for men NBD... why not women

... Mille Dinesen's a favorite actor... having watched her for better part of a decade in the ever-widely-popular-series RITA (40 episodes)... here she plays a similar slightly toned-down-character of-similar-personality, and she's once-again good in it, as all her fans would be anticipating-watching

... HMH-script is typical of the genre, and the film is overall exceptionally easy-fun viewing... it would not be hard at all imagining this-woman a very successful cougar.. now at 49yo readily-having all-it-takes... men (and women) of all ages finding-seeing themselves being attracted to her (short or long-term)

Very unrealistic story.

Ok movie, but a little boring sometimes. Should have been not so long. It was not a comedy and neither drama. A mix of everything. Good acting but the plot was very unrealistic.

Avoid!
jens-252-4628065 June 2022
Catastrophically boring film. In the almost 2 hours the film takes, the director and actors managed to move the characters less than what a TV series of 2000 episodes can in its lifetime.

I can only say one thing. Avoid for the world.

What an unexpected piece of art (!?)

I decided to watch this movie during ferry crossing, in search of a Danish, uncomplicated flick; and how was I in for a surprise.

Being Danish, I am most familiar with Mille Dinesen being respectively "Nynne" and "Rita". I guess it's fair to say that both of these characters are stereotypes, however splendid in their own way (go watch the shows!)

I'm getting to the point now: in this movie Mille Dinesen really shows her versatility as an actress. She is smart, mature and so rarely sensitive. I enjoyed every moment of her acting, and was touched by it. Future more, our white knight, the charming, Troels Ullerup, is just a perfect match. He will definitely notebook her, when she gets dementia way before he does ;)

In essence, the script of the movie is not groundbreaking in any way, but it is a perfect movie, because it has perfect actors in it.

Enjoy 😊
