Sunny paji's Karishma
sachlangdebbarma-8054011 August 2023
Gadar 2 is the sequel to the 2001 blockbuster Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. It stars Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma. The film is set against the backdrop of the 1971 India-Pakistan war. Tara Singh (Sunny Deol), a Sikh truck driver, must once again cross the border illegally to save his son Jeete (Utkarsh Sharma) from the wrath of Pak General Hamid Iqbal (Manish Wadhwa).

The film has received mixed reviews from critics. Some have praised the film's action sequences, patriotic fervor, and performances, while others have criticized its outdated storyline, predictable plot, and over-the-top violence.

Personally, I thought Gadar 2 was an enjoyable film. It was definitely not a masterpiece, but it was a fun and entertaining way to spend a few hours. The action sequences were well-choreographed and exciting, the performances were solid, and the film had a good amount of patriotic fervor. However, the storyline was a bit outdated and predictable, and the film did rely on over-the-top violence at times.

Overall, I would recommend Gadar 2 to fans of Sunny Deol, action films, and patriotic dramas. However, if you're looking for a film with a fresh and original storyline, you may want to look elsewhere.

Here are some of the pros and cons of Gadar 2:

Pros:

Exciting action sequences( some might find it cringe and compare it with early South Indian exaggerated action sequences, but come on man, it is a mass masala film, we do not need to incorporate physics everywhere) Solid performances by Sunny Deol and Manish Wadhwa Good amount of patriotic fervor Nostalgic moments for fans of the first film Cons:

Outdated storyline Predictable plot Over-the-top violence Lack of originality Weak performance by Utkarsh and Ameesha.( Personally, I feel Utkarsh did very cringe acting in the first half but he escalated in the 2nd half)

Overall, Gadar 2 is a fun and entertaining film that is sure to please fans of Sunny Deol and action films. However, it is not a masterpiece, and it may not be to everyone's taste.

I rate it 6 out of 10.

Only for sunny paaji
abhilashaa13 August 2023
Undoubtedly Sunny Deol was very nice but I found the movie very annoying and specially the acting of the actress Ameesha Patel the new actress and the son. They definitely try to make some scenes emotional but they fail to do so and I really hate the writing of the writers. I mean this movie is coming after decades and a movie for only like stupid people, Pakistan was shown like North Korea. Anybody could hit anyone. The actor and actress fell in love in just minutes and there was no chemistry, what the heck I mean what the heck. Of course this movie will earn a lot of money because most of the Indian Janta like this kind of movies and Sunny Deol is a legend I think people will come to watch him but definitely movie like a lot of things specially editing writing and yeah acting.

Sunny Deol Runs Riot In Chaotic & Outdated Massy Sequel
SAMTHEBESTEST11 August 2023
Gadar 2 (2023) : Movie Review -

Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma's trio from Gadar is back again for Anil Sharma's Gadar 2, along with new additions to the cast, Simrat Kaur and Manish Wadhwa. Gadar was the biggest mass hysteria since Sholay (1975), with footfalls crossing the Insane 5 crore mark in the 21st century, which no other Bollywood film could do in the last 22 years. Why? Because Gadar had a love story conflicting between India and Pakistan elements right after Partition. The saga went even more crazy when an Indian crushed the Pakistani army single-handedly in Pakistan. Masses were entitled to go bonkers, and that's one of the main reasons why no other Bollywood movie has managed to repeat the same hysteria again since then. Gadar 2 follows the same pattern by arranging the characters differently, and it's a well-written script for Gadar's sequel-at least for its continuity, but for 2003, not 2023. Filmmaking and audiences have come far ahead in these two decades, but Anil Sharma seemed more interested in 2003's audiences and 2003's filmmaking. It doesn't hurt when a normal hit movie gets a bad sequel, such as Satyamev Jayate 2 or Heropanti 2, as they were never iconic movies. But it hurts when a popular mass film like Ghayal gets a sequel like Ghayal Once Again, and a historic blockbuster like Gadar gets a sequel like Gadar 2.

Gadar 2 begins with a backdrop of the 1947 partition and a 2-minute brief of Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, as narrator Nana Patekar introduces us to the Gadar world and the new villain, Hamid Iqbal (Manish Wadhawa). Hamid was in the British India Army before independence, and his family was killed by Hindus in Hindu-Muslim riots before Pakistan got separated from India. He hates Indians, Hindus, and Tara Singh, who killed 40 of his officers while bringing Sakina back in Gadar 1. Switch to 1971, as the Indian Army smells another war with Pakistan (especially the Bangladesh partition), while Tara Singh (Sunny Deol) is still a truck driver, living happily with his wife, Sakina (Ameesha Patel), and son, Jeetey (Utkarsh Sharma). Jeetey wants to be a Bollywood actor, and Tara wants his son to be an army officer. Tara helps the Indian army and is captured during a raid. Young Jeetey decides to go to Pakistan to bring his father back, but he himself gets arrested for being a spy. Tara, who has returned home after a while, can't be silent, and so he heads towards Lahore to get his son back. How Tara Singh and Jeetey fight the entire Pakistani army in Pakistan is what you get to see in the second half.

Gadar 2 seems like a well-intentioned script for a sequel because it attempts the same pattern they sold us two decades ago. It's the screenplay and execution that torture you with two-decade-old fashion in every scene. From Shivaa.. Shivaa.. in Brahmastra to Jeetey.. Jeetey.. in Gadar 2-that's how we have evolved over the last year. It wasn't long ago that people criticised Satyameva Jayate 2 and Heropanti 2, and here we have Gadar 2 trying to be in the same zone. It's just that SMJ and Heropanti were smaller brands, and here Gadar is trying to sell us a huge brand. It will be enough to get contemporary commercial success and good funds, but not the legacy. The landmark for Gadar's sequel can't be 100 crore, 200 crore, or 300 crore. It was a film that sold 5 crore+ tickets; will Gadar 2 get the same numbers or even half of that? You are cashing in on Legacy, but what about creating your own legacy? Of course, Gadar 2 will get a bigger opening because it is a brand now, but it will not see the same success because they haven't been able to create that kind of product again.

Gadar 2 is so outdated and frustrating occasionally that people were laughing at action scenes. However, some crazy mass belt audiences are enjoying the same scenes. That's two sides of cinema for you, and an iconic movie always finds a perfect blend of both. Gadar 2 is quite a one-sided affair, though. That handpump will have two extreme reactions: one side will enjoy it, while the other side will roll down the floor laughing. There are many instances like this in the film, and it's a very long film, let me tell you. Morpheus offered a red and blue pill in The Matrix, and here the villain offers the Red Book (Bhagawad Gita) and Green Book (Quran) to his victims. In 2 hours and 50 minutes, Sunny Deol becomes Mr. India for almost an hour before the intermission, and when he returns, you expect some fireworks. He gives you that, but the ammunition is not modern. I don't even know why someone would use swords in the post-50s era. The 1971 conflict could have been a game changer for the film, but they didn't know how to use it. It was used as a backdrop, not the main conflict, like Gadar used 1947 to set the base for the entire film.

One of the best things about Gadar 2 is that Sunny Deol is back in Tara Singh's crazy, massy Avatar. He roars like a lion, actually noisier than a lion, with the help of a camera, mic, and sound sync to scare the hell out of the Pak army. That Katori wala dialogue and Hindustan Zindabad bring back the old memories, but only for a moment. Ameesha Patel looked breathtaking in Gadar Part 1, and it would be too much to ask her to look the same after 22 years. Her part also doesn't offer anything and is far less than Gadar 1. On the contrary, Utkarsh Sharma has more screen time, and he is good in only some scenes. That Rajesh Khanna's filmy style was well acted, but not well crafted. Simrat Kaur fills the missing gap of a beautiful face, as she looks gorgeous throughout the film. Her role is fine too, but she needed more confident body language. Manish Wadhva is packaged as an evil from the ancient era. So much hype and so much introduction to prove what a devious personality he is. He looks dangerous and acts so too, but can anyone ever replace Amrish Puri Ji as a villain? Even Manish would say a big NO. Nonetheless, he is strictly okay. The supporting cast of Gaurav Chopra, Luv Sinha, Mushtaq Khan, Rakesh Bedi, Dolly Bindra, and a few other known faces pass by without any hesitation.

Gadar 2 has not been made on a huge budget of over 300 crore or 400 crore, so it's fine if it doesn't have any larger-than-life action sequences. Who needs them when you have larger-than-life characters like Tara Singh? On the technical front, Gadar 2 has managed a recent show on a moderate budget. The Cinematography is okay, the editing lacks engagement, the background score is old-fashioned, and the production design is pretty decent. The music scores passing marks with old hit numbers coming back with honest recreation, and the lyrics sound fine too. Anil Sharma has directed 6 films after Gadar, and he hasn't had a single HIT till date. It seems that his wait for a box office hit will be over with Gadar 2. The credit goes to Gadar 1, of course. Anil Sharma had an opportunity to create history, but he was stuck in history himself. The idea of making a film with outdated storytelling is so annoying and disturbing. That's why he couldn't score a hit. Had Gadar 2 been a non-Gadar film, he would have had another flop because the film is so bad. But thanks to Gadar's legacy, even a bad product will sail past the tough times of post-pandemic. Happy days ahead for the box office, at least for a week, but why did we have to sacrifice brand Gadar for that? This needs to be discussed someday in the future. For now, Tara Singh is back with a blockbuster that should have been made in 2003 but arrived in 2023.

Scratched my head off with this nonsensical sequel
vickyvengeance20 August 2023
If you are about to book a ticket for this movie going by the collections in the news, stop right now. A complete demolition of the image and fanbase created by the original Gadar, this movie showcases why it was made - just to mint money in the shadow of the former legendary film. With no planning, script or direction, this movie will bore the hell out of you and you will be left regretting your decision of booking the tickets. A three hour of complete nonsense in any manner you take it. A child could write a better script. Sunny deol is depicted as a superman too, taking on hundreds of men armed with guns and that too multiple times - barehanded. LOL.

Terrible
shranup19 August 2023
Any sensible sane cinema goers can say that this is the worst movie of 2023.its an insult in the name of movie .Absolutely horrible movie.

Disaster from start to finish. I had high hopes for this movie, being a fan of the original Gadar, but it fell incredibly short. The plot was confusing and poorly executed, the acting was wooden, and the dialogues felt forced and cringe-worthy. It's evident that the filmmakers were trying to cash in on the success of the first movie without putting in any real effort. Save your time and money, and skip this disappointing sequel.

Such kind of movie would never help hindi cinema to thrive.

Extremely poor writing and I feel sorry for the director
arjunkapoorana12 September 2023
Nothing new in story , unrealistic action scenes as if the the hero is some God , villain speaks so much and when it's time for action blows out like bubble , such a bad writing this movie is a disrespect to Gadar the first part which has so many memories with our childhood really saddened. The songs bring back some memories but not good enough to hold the movie it's full of flaws , this movie is made just to capitalise on the previous Gadar Movie ( Gadar-1 )it seems. Some songs are good credit goes to music director and singers. The dialogues are good which a strong statement for enemies of India other than that there is nothing and bad cinematography and no screen presence.

This movie ruined my wonderful memories of the first part. It's that bad!
ybhavsar-227-32715116 August 2023
All the reviews that are praising this sequel are FAKE... for sure... You simply cannot watch this movie irrespective of whether you have watched the first part or not. Believe me, it's that bad, pathetic and boring. The makers have used the same old songs that were super hit in the first part, a lot of times in this sequel. There are other songs also but not worth mentioning really. You won't even remember any of them after you leave the movie hall.

This is supposed to be a action movie. But in fact it will be better if I don't mention anything about action in this movie in my review. At times it made me laugh and wonder why am I even watching this movie. It has ruined the wonderful memories that I had with the first part.

It takes you back to memory lane. Good movie
kunal-6604611 August 2023
Sunny is back in action. The hand pump scene is amazing. The emotional connection between father and son is really good. Utkarsh (Sunny's son in the movie) did really well. He can act, dance & perform good action as well. The love interest of Sunny's son played by Simran Kaur and she looked fresh and played her character beautifully.

Amisha didn't have much to do in the film but she did a fair job.

Young couple's love story has been captured well by Anil Sharma.

Let's talk about the Hero of the film Sunny Deol. As expected his dialogue delivery brings you back to Gadar 1 and action sequences has been performed well.

Film could have been trimmed little bit just before the interval.

You will definitely miss the great Amrish Puri Saab in the film. No one can do better job as an antagonist but Manish Wadhva did a fair job and he reminds of Katya (Danny) from movie Ghatak because his dialogue delivery style is pretty much like Denny. In fact Danny could have played antagonist's part really well in this film.

It's a good entertainer to watch with the family for sure.

Ghar Aaja Pardeshi and Me nikla Gaddi leke again sung well by Udit ji and you will definitely come out singing these songs after the movie finishes.

Overall a good paisa vasool Hindi movie.

Go for it guys.

7.5/10.

Gadar 2 - A Fitting Sequel That Honors the Legacy of the Original
inventorytennisshop11 August 2023
Sequels often face the daunting task of living up to the expectations set by their predecessors. Gadar 2, the much-anticipated sequel to the iconic film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, bravely takes on this challenge. Directed by the visionary filmmaker and storyteller, Anil Sharma, Gadar 2 proves to be a commendable attempt at continuing the legacy of its predecessor while offering a fresh perspective on an enduring love story amidst the backdrop of historical events.

Plot and Narrative: Gadar 2 seamlessly picks up where the first film left off, delving deeper into the lives of Tara Singh (Sunny Deol) and Sakina (Ameesha Patel), and their journey through tumultuous times. Set against the backdrop of the partition of India, the film masterfully intertwines history, romance, and drama. The narrative unfolds with a poignant portrayal of the challenges faced by the protagonists as they navigate through a world torn apart by communal strife and political unrest.

The film's pacing is deliberate, allowing the characters' emotions to breathe and resonate with the audience. Anil Sharma's direction shines through as he skillfully blends heartwarming moments of love and camaraderie with heart-wrenching scenes depicting the horrors of the partition. The emotional rollercoaster is intensified by the mesmerizing chemistry between Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, who effortlessly slip back into their roles, reigniting the on-screen magic that made the original Gadar a classic.

Character Development: One of the film's strongest aspects is the meticulous attention given to character development. Tara Singh's unwavering determination, his sense of justice, and his indomitable spirit continue to be central to the narrative. Sunny Deol's powerful portrayal breathes life into Tara Singh, making the character's journey not only believable but also deeply moving. Ameesha Patel shines as Sakina, conveying a gamut of emotions from love and hope to despair and anguish, as her character faces the harsh realities of the partition.

New characters are seamlessly integrated into the story, enriching the narrative. The introduction of Tara and Sakina's children adds a layer of generational conflict and growth. The film delicately explores the challenges faced by the younger generation in a post-partition world, torn between their parents' legacy and the changing times. This generational shift offers a fresh perspective while maintaining the essence of the original story.

Visual Spectacle and Cinematography: Gadar 2 excels in capturing the grandeur of its historical backdrop. The cinematography by Sameer Arya transports the audience to the era with attention to detail, from the bustling streets of pre-partition Lahore to the chaotic aftermath of the partition. The film's production design and costumes evoke nostalgia, further enhancing the immersive experience.

Music and Soundtrack: The music of Gadar 2 pays homage to the soul-stirring melodies of the original film. The iconic "Main Nikla Gaddi Leke" is revisited with a contemporary twist, appealing to both new and old audiences. The soundtrack complements the emotional resonance of the story, tugging at heartstrings during intimate moments and accentuating tension during pivotal scenes.

Themes and Social Commentary: Beyond its captivating love story, Gadar 2 skillfully tackles pertinent socio-political themes. The film sheds light on the human cost of partition, highlighting the tragedy and the unbreakable spirit of those who survived it. The film's exploration of communal tensions and the aftermath of partition is a stark reminder of the importance of unity and empathy in a fractured world. It is a powerful commentary on the lasting impact of historical events on individual lives.

Conclusion: In conclusion, Gadar 2 stands as a worthy successor to the beloved Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. With a compelling narrative, remarkable character development, and captivating visuals, the film not only pays homage to its predecessor but also forges its own path. Anil Sharma's direction, coupled with stellar performances by Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and the ensemble cast, brings a sense of authenticity and depth to the story. Gadar 2 is a triumph in its own right, successfully blending romance, history, and social commentary into a cinematic masterpiece that resonates with audiences of all generations.

Gadar was better
sameerkhan66619 August 2023
Part one of this movie had a neutral point of view towards the opponents and both of the communal rivalry was balanced. Gadar was not a movie, but whole lot of emotion itself. But I am reviewing Gadar 2, so let's stick to it. I don't think this movie was equal to that of it's first part. You can't show nationalism in the name of hating another country and being one pointed all throughout the movie. It was sad to see propagating war, hatred and false self believe of being better than the other country, leaving no scope for betterment. Sakina in the entire movie was missing, she was the real gem of the story. Missed Amrish Puri.

One of the worst sequels
ragingbull_200513 August 2023
I don't know if Tara gets back home in the end. Had to leave 25 minutes before the final credits came. Couldn't bear it any more. It is THAT BAD.

The director, his thoughts, the story, the action - everything seems to be trapped in a time warp.

Amrish Puri is sorely missed as the chief villain, who is provided with a flimsy background and even thinner motivation against Tara, is clownish. I wanted to cackle in the theatre when he went on his tirade against Indians.

Sunny Deol is well intentioned and still shouts loud enough to nudge you to your nearest ENT specialist. His presence filled my heart with hope that something startlingly fantastic was about to happen, justifying the wild box office numbers. Nothing did.

One of the poorest that I have seen in recent times.

Worst Movie
inboxsuhail21 August 2023
Zero acting skills poor comic timing ...screaming.... Shouting... two things which you will hear continuously - : 1. Janab.... Janab 2. Jeete.... Jeete.

One of the most glaring issues with "Ghadar 2" is the complete lack of a cohesive storyline.

Another glaring issue is the pacing of the film. The first half drags on with unnecessary exposition and awkward attempts at humor that fall flat. By the time the movie finally starts to gain some momentum, it's too little too late. I found myself checking my watch multiple times, wishing for the end credits to roll.

N conclusion, "Ghadar 2" is a prime example of how sequels can tarnish the legacy of a successful film. It lacks the heart, soul, and coherence that made the original a classic. Fans of the first movie would be better off re-watching it and cherishing the memories it created, rather than subjecting themselves to this disappointing and forgettable follow-up.

Unbelievably terrible
neena_khosa8 September 2023
I cannot believe a Sharma produced this! Sunny Deol is delusional to think that he can act. It's an embarrassing amalgamation of riotous behaviour on screen as well as off ...did briefly come across his interview. Has he had his head checked, this out of touch with reality, so-called Jat? Does he really think intelligent, articulate and talented individuals such as Shah Rukh Khan really liked it? Off course they didn't, but they're tied to pleasing the illiterate masses who have made this movie a ratings success, all owing to Hindustan zindabad! The real actors, Khans for example, and anyone with good sense are only playing the game. They know this pitiful movie is a disgrace to Indian cinema. Shame on Deols for participating and worst promoting such utter rubbish.

The story and action is unrealistic.
baghelanil14 August 2023
The film in question offered a mix of highs and lows, leaving audiences divided in their assessment. One undeniable positive was Sunny's action sequences, which emerged as the standout element of the production. The sheer energy, skill, and charisma he brought to his character's physical feats injected a palpable excitement into the viewing experience. His seamless blend of martial prowess and on-screen presence showcased his status as an action star, and these moments undoubtedly left a lasting impression on the audience.

On the other hand, the storyline of the film faced criticism for its lack of realism. Viewers found themselves grappling with scenarios that stretched the boundaries of believability, often requiring a suspension of disbelief that proved challenging. While cinematic narratives often demand a degree of imagination, the extent to which this film strayed from the realm of possibility left some viewers questioning the coherence and coherence of the plot. This disconnection from reality, unfortunately, detracted from the overall engagement and impact the movie could have had.

A notable aspect that sparked discussion was the portrayal of dialogues that carried a negative undertone toward Pakistan. This narrative choice invoked a polarizing response from the audience. For a segment of viewers, these dialogues resonated strongly and elicited a sense of patriotism or validation of preconceived notions. The depiction may have struck a chord with those who had certain sentiments or perspectives, leading them to connect with the film on a personal level. However, this approach also drew criticism from another segment, who felt that such portrayals perpetuated stereotypes or contributed to a divisive narrative. The ethical implications of presenting a country or culture in a particular light through cinematic dialogues are complex and open to interpretation.

The resonance of these dialogues further underscores the power of cinema as a medium for shaping public opinions and perceptions. The way in which the audience responded to this element of the film highlights the role that storytelling plays in influencing societal perspectives, potentially reinforcing existing biases or challenging them. The polarized reactions serve as a testament to the potential impact of artistic choices on a broader cultural and social scale.

Despite the dialogue's ability to evoke strong reactions, it does not overshadow the reservations many viewers had about the overall quality of the movie's plot. While the dialogues may have garnered attention, the heart of any film lies in its ability to weave a compelling, coherent, and immersive narrative. In this regard, the film failed to meet the expectations of a significant portion of its audience. The combination of unrealistic plot elements and disjointed storytelling left many feeling disconnected and dissatisfied.

Ultimately, the success of a film is often measured by its ability to strike a balance between entertainment and artistic depth. While Sunny's action sequences undoubtedly injected excitement into the film, they alone could not salvage a storyline that struggled with plausibility. The portrayal of dialogues, while impactful for some, could not compensate for the lack of narrative cohesion that hindered the movie's potential.

In the world of cinema, the interplay of action, dialogue, and plot must harmonize to create a memorable and impactful experience. This film serves as a reminder that even standout performances and resonant dialogues cannot fully compensate for a storyline that veers too far from the realm of believability. As audiences continue to engage with a diverse array of cinematic offerings, the enduring lesson lies in the enduring value of a well-crafted narrative that captures the imagination and delivers a meaningful and satisfying viewing experience.

Not worthy to watch .. Gadar 1 was mind blowing and Gadar 2 is annoying
guptapuneet-5009613 August 2023
Lots of songs in the movie .. Did we go to watch songs on big screen.. the whole movie was revolving around Utkarsh Sharma .. It seems like Director has tried to relaunch his son under the shadow of Sunny Deol and surely he has succeeded in it because movie is earning a lot cz people emotions are attached with movie.. I don't know why director does not have the vision .. movie could have been better .. Please stop making film hit on the cost of people emotions.

Amisha patel acting is bad and except sunny deol . All actings are bad .. Do we watch the film after making it or directly show to people ?

viprvicky11 August 2023
I suggest if you're planning to watch a movie this weekend then please watch this movie with your friends and family. And I personally recommend this movie to everyone because this movie is not about action and thrill but there is a emotional attachment with Gadar and Tara Singh and if you watch this movie you'll found this movie 'Paisa Wasool'. Please watch once with your family. Acting Level of Sunny Deol is really fantastic. And love and action in the movie is also next level. I suggest you to watch both parts of Gadar i.e. Gadar - Ek Prem Katha and Gadar 2. I enjoyed this movie a lot. In short - Full Paisa Wasool :)

My first review here
snupur-4194213 August 2023
Generally if the second part of a bollywood movie releases, it disappoints us. However, this part was amazingly created. Makers have included every important detail. They have included all the famous songs in a different yet similar way. They have tried to include every major person from the previous part be it Late Amrish puri or any one else. They have included hand pump scene as well in a different way which made all the people laugh in the theatre. Sunny Deol's aura and his strong demeanor in the movie is epic. He is throwing anything he sees on people like its a toothpick. I saw everyone in the theatre vibing with the songs and the fight sequences as well. New generations and our parents generations all were equally involved and loving the movie. I didn't like the over action sequences and Ameesha patel not doing anything except crying.

The worst movie I've seen
vivianabakshi19 August 2023
Oh, what a delightful cinematic disaster that was! I'm absolutely speechless, but not in the way you'd expect. How lucky I was to share this unforgettable experience with my mom, the ultimate Sunny Deol enthusiast - leaving the theater was simply out of the question. It's almost magical how each passing minute stretched into what felt like a lifetime of pure torture.

And the acting? Oh, where do I even begin? A true display of unparalleled talent that left me questioning the very essence of performance art. The script, a true work of avant-garde genius - it's as if they were trying to redefine the boundaries of storytelling. Of course, who could forget the heart-wrenching emotional journey that kept the audience on the edge of their seats... or not. The meticulous pacing, a masterpiece in itself, reached its pinnacle during the remarkable moment each time Sunny Deol impassioned called for his son which resonated for a whopping 10 minutes - a cinematic milestone that will undoubtedly be cherished for generations to come. A movie with no logic at all.

Very good must watch movie! Gadar 2 has proved to be a gr8 crowd puller.
kanumahajan-8194511 August 2023
Watched Gadar 2, an absolutely enthralling movie! If you are a Sunny Deol fan then must say he has really enchanted one and all with his one liners, proved to be a big crowd puller. The story moves forward from Tara Singh and Sakina's love story to the adorable bond between father and son. A nice family movie with patriotic fervor. The foursome Amisha Patel, Sunny Deol, Utkarsh Sharma and debutant Simrat Kaur shine through their performance. The songs are quite soulful and noteworthy, the classical undertones are beautiful. Not a single dull moment in the movie.

Go watch it in the theatre near you! This is what we call a true blue Blockbuster!🤘

Sunny Paji ne Gadar Failaya and unke bete ne Raita
Knight_Fury0212 August 2023
"Typical Brainlessly Classic Bollywood Over the Top Masala movie", this is how I'll explain this movie. It's a fun one time watch movie which you'll be able to enjoy only if you leave your logical brain at home. It will be a good one time popcorn watch with family given you have watched first part. Movie picked up where it was left in the first part.

Goods: Amazing used nostalgia factor. All the songs were well made giving the classic proper respect and all the callback dialogue were top notch. Reference to old movie was well made. Good cinematography and visuals.

Bads: Second part was way over the top, mediocre acting by most of the cast, weak antagonist (not comparing to Amrish Puri as no one can come clase to the legend but still antagonist didn't come close to make us feel anything), but on top of all that the writing was weak.

So if you are Sunny paji's fan you can definately watch it one time but that's the most I can give to this movie. Nothing more.

Not entertaining at all!
rishabh-7632213 August 2023
This movie is all about a director's efforts to establish his son as a bollywood actor. He has chosen his all time blockbusters film to give it a shot. The movie lags emotions. You can't just go into flashback and let the audience connect with the film. It may work in villages where they might see the first part every now and then on television but even they will have issues digesting it. A trade analyst gave it. 4.5 stars on twitter and I am surprised about the criteria to become a film critic.

If you want to watch it, wait for it to be released on ott or television. Please don't waste your hard earned money on this.

Total Garbage
jaskaransandhu-8114114 August 2023
Its not worthy to watch this movie at all. Its a total wastage of time. Doesnt even make any sense nor the action neither the story... total waste of time .. sunny deol needs to retire from movies and politics too... he won the election in Gurdaspur, Punjab and never showed up there... people needed him but he cheated on them... only thing he cares about is money and parliament seat that he won. He should be ashamed of himself for being such a corrupt leader when his people trusted on him he stabbed them in the backk.... Also movie is a total waste.. we dont need any violence with Pakistan. Leave them alone.....stop provoking muslim communities.

Not a movie I'd watch even for free
menonakku14 August 2023
An extremely boring movie trying to run on old work and nostalgia. Not a movie I'd watch even for free. We had to walk out after the first half. Below par acting, with songs that do not fall in place and a story line that's just made for the sake of it. The writing, acting, and directing makes it seem like absolutely no effort was put into the production and direction.

Sunny Deol is the reason the movie is running, even so there's nothing that keeps you interested once the movie actually starts.

I would not recommend this movie to anyone and would suggest you watch the original instead of this.

From Nostalgia to Nonsense: A Disheartening Journey of Clueless Performances
MrAyushGarg13 August 2023
The actors' cluelessness and lack of acting prowess are glaringly evident, making it even more imperative for them to seek proper acting classes. Their performances were not only disappointing and disgusting but also a testament to their lack of understanding of their craft. It's as though they were completely adrift, without a solid grasp of how to effectively convey emotions and bring their characters to life.

The dire need for acting classes becomes even more apparent in light of their dismal performances. Watching them struggle to emote and deliver their lines was a cringe-worthy experience, leaving the audience with a sense of disbelief and frustration. Acting is a skill that requires continuous improvement and dedication, and their lack of preparation is painfully evident.

The film's overall quality suffered greatly due to their inadequacies as actors. Taking acting classes could have potentially bridged the gap between their lackluster performances and the expectations of the audience. It's a reminder that talent alone is not enough; honing one's craft through education and training is essential to deliver performances that resonate and engage viewers on a meaningful level.
