Police dramas are everywhere, so it's hard to come up with something new. VCIM is not an Earth shattering piece of television, but it is very entertaining. Time flies fast, as you watch Viola trying to find her footing in the new city, with a boss who has no faith in her abilities, chauvinistic colleagues and no friends. Francesca Chillemi created a very sympathetic character you can't stop rooting for. Can Yaman plays a police inspector, cynical, flirtatious and very competent in his job. When his Francesco Demir meets Viola sparks begin to fly. I would be tempted to say that it's a typical sunshine/grumpy trope, but Demir throws jokes around like old ladies throw bread for the ducks in the park. So I guess it's more of a sunshine/cynical joker kind of situation. Especially because the inspector doesn't hide the fact that he wants to see Viola in his bed and gets frustrated when his typical tricks don't work. (Way to go, Viola!) Those two already have a rapport that is a source of laughs. The rest of the cast blends very well with the protagonists, the overall chemistry between the characters is coherent and on a high level. Cinematography is great, with the views of the beautiful Palermo looking like a postcard - it really makes you wanna go there.

Overall it's a fun, breezy, kind of summery show with a high rewatchability factor. Give it a go.

This series is entertaining because of a few things - the female and male leads are beautiful people and they pair well together, it's modern and yet down to earth, every episode brings a new crime and we have the 2 leads solving it together and we see romance and sparks between these 2 leads and there's some comedy thrown in as well. What I don't like about the series is that the crime in each episode lacks depth and gets wrapped up quickly without addressing all issues. So, don't expect to be impressed by each weekly crime case. The male lead is chasing a big crime case and that one is interesting. At each episode we see how much closer he gets to procure evidence and how he can solve the case which his superior has told him not to pursue.

It a light-hearted romantic comedy, with a touch of a detective story, with two beautiful leads Can Yaman and Francesca Chillemi who suit each other very well and their tandem works just fine. . A very enjoyable watch, hilarious at times. The actors are very good, and the setting is beautiful. But don't expect too much criminal drama, because it is more of a romcom than a detective story. The supporting cast is great, especially Chiara Tron playing Tamara and Giovanni Nasta as Turi. However, the script lacks something- sometimes the development between the leads felt too slow, and reserved, I wish the writers had been bolder when writing the lines.

Outstanding writing & acting. The art of bantering has returned. Beautiful Palermo scenery. Whole cast has interesting back stories. Exceptional acting and linguistic talent by Can Yaman who's first language is Turkish. His Italian is absolutely melodious. He and Francesca Chillemi are so easy on the eyes, they take your breath away. Their interaction is electric. The Italian filmmakers have really upped their game with this production. Hoping for a second season already. I won't give anything away but let's just say Francesca is so good at conveying something special. And Can is very convincing!

First time for Can Yaman acting in Italian on Italian tv. This is a great stepping stone to what's to come. I don't speak a word of Italian and Can Yaman's characterization of Francesco Demir kept me intrigued and I understood his actions perfectly. I particularly loved his sarcasm. Again, I don't speak Italian but understood perfectly well his interpretation of his character. It will be interesting to discover his background story in the next episodes. Viola characterized by Francesca Chillemi, a journalist with a special condition that she utilizes to help others. Viola is funny, smart and beautiful!

I really tried to watch this Italian series because of Can Yaman but even he couldn't save it for me. After watching his acting in Bay Yanlis and Erkenci Kus I feel that his heart is not in it or his character is just two dimensional I suspect the later. There is no chemistry with the leading lady and the story lines are awful. I know that a second series has been completed so I'm hoping for Can that the scripts have been improved because this man with a huge heart deserves it. I wish him nothing but the best for the future but this role has not done him any favours. Maybe my expectations are just too high but I've seen what he is capable off.

First time Turkish actor Can Yaman is acting in Italian and he did not disappoint! Always been a fan of police dramas and I fully enjoyed this new one. Great story line and writing. Just the right amount of seriousness and comedic banter. Absolutely beautiful scenery. Looking forward to the upcoming episodes. Definitely kept my attention. Great chemistry between cast members especially Can Yaman and Francesca Chillemi. They leave you wanting to get to know them more. Can't wait to see how their relationship progresses. Definitely worth watching. You will not be disappointed. Bravo to the cast and crew!

Absolutely stunning! Loved it every second of this series! Can Yaman and Francesca Chillemi are the perfect duo, beautiful, talented and funny! Another big protagonist is Palermo, all the shots are perfect and it makes you dream of being there! Lux vide is a big production company in Italy and the choice of this series nailed it.

Congratulations to all cast!

These first two episodes introduced us to some fun and interesting characters as played by the leads, Can Yaman and Francesca Chillemi. Their chemistry from the very get go is palpable, believable, and understandable between two such beautiful people. The cast is a interesting group of passionate people, including lots of angry women. Is that an Italian thing? Not sure as I'm new to this cultural genre. But the setting is beautiful, and the subtle comedy between the suave Inspector Demir and the sometimes awkward, but intrigued Viola is light enough to take the dark edge off the murders and such. I feel this series is going to go well. It's very promising indeed. Only wish it was available to an international audience. Watching from the USA.

Can Yaman stealing the show in first 2 episodes. The plot is flowing really well And the neurological issue of Viola and issues surrounding it care getting slowly introduced. Francesco and Demir a really funny and both actors very very well complement each other in comedic timing. Can Yaman's acting is on point and in character all the time and taking in account this is his second language it is extraordinary to say is extraordinary. Chemistry between Viola and Demir is superb and it is clear that it will be hot going forward. So well done all who wrote and actors for excellent performance, so well done.

Best series watched in a while. All characters are written so well! Can Yaman & Francesca Chillemi's acting is amazing. The chemistry those two created onscreen is interesting already. Love her character, funny and witty. Also Can Yaman, he is whole new in this. I've seen his in Erkenci kus & other of his turkish series, but in Viola come il mare, an Italian series, he is completely different. A new person & it only shows how much he grew and his progress as a human and celebrity. I'm really proud of him. Bravo Can!! I think I'm gonna rewatch the series again & again; never get bored. The neurological disorder that main character Viola (played by Francesca Chillemi of Che Dio ci aiuti) has is intriguing and I think will play the major story arc in the story throughout. Her synesthesia as they call it will help Inspector Demir (played by international actor Can Yaman, amazingly shot the series in full Italian) solve cases every episode. Its great that we are already introduced to the rest of the cast in the first two episodes and hopefully we see each of their backstory fleshed out in the coming episodes. Overall, a pretty well thought out show best enjoyed at the end of the week!

Glad this can be streamed via mediasetinfinity app for international audience but only concerned they didn't have the option for subtitles. Seeing that they have a global audience for this show, I hope they soon add it in the service.

This is the first international work in another language for Can Yaman and I should admit he's acting very well!! His diction is better than a lot of Italian actors!!

I liked the idea of the "synestesia" problem I've never known before.

Very well the chemistry between Viola and Francesco.., I think they're giving us joys very soon... I like the team Francesco-Turi .. they're a funny couple!! I can't wait to watching the next episode.. discovering something more about Viola's father and the evolution between Viola and Francesco.

Palermo is a perfect set for this fiction... very charming!!

VCIM is a series that combines suspense with romance and is set in beautiful Palermo. I like that it's not just the usual solving of criminal cases, but the disease that Viola suffers from and that helps in the investigation plays a significant role here. A significant dose of humor and mutual harmony between the two main protagonists only underlines the intention to combine genres and also to address a current topic such as trust in others. The main protagonists are very well chosen, they are not only talented and beautiful, but also able to convey emotions, which is the most important thing in stories. Harmony can be seen and felt through the screen. Can Yaman is a Turkish actor and VCIM is his first project in a language other than his native language. I think he did brilliantly. He looks at it all very well...

Such a beautiful places in Palermo, with such beautiful artists, with such wonderful humor - I advise you to watch and enjoy. Viola Come Il Mare turned out to be another high quality series by LuxVide. The cast is outstanding, the series addresses the audience worldwide. The lead actors chemistry and harmony is so beautiful that you can't help but watch it. It is just a perfect choice for those who have been longing for a good romantic-action movie. Can Yaman fits his role so well. He is doing a great job both in action and in romance. And once again he has created a totally new character from scratch. Their scenes with Francesca Chillemi stand out strongly and puts a smile on your face. I just love these series much.

This man, who became a phenomenon with Early Bird, is very hardworking. Italian is not his mother tongue, but he was educated in Italian. The star, who took extra accent lessons for this role, was found very successful.
