Can find very little information on this, but I was looking through my old collection of indie films and this was in there. Surprised nothing more came of this guy, honestly. All the makings of a good film despite clearly also making fun of the more sleepy side of arthouse theatre.
I'll be keeping on to my copy just in case it gets rediscovered by Criterion or Arrow or whoever.
The film itself is a tight thriller about a detective trapped inside a single block of houses. Their slow descent into madness is skillfully handled and left me wanting more.
