This is a relic of it's time, the animation is certainly not that good. Pixar was doing infinitely better animation fourteen years before this came out. The plot itself was pretty good, I do think they could have done a bit better lip-syncing.
My least-favourite part was when one character stops the other from screaming by putting their hand over their mouth, unfortunately they animated it so there's a gap between the fingers and thus you can still see the open mouth, making it look very silly indeed. That would not stop anyone from screaming... It wasn't bad, but I don't think it was particularly good either it reminds me of Telltale if they had much worse graphics...(I do however appreciate the BBC did not have a giant budget for a Dr Who animated spin-off series, and I'm sure the animators did the best they could on the budget they had and with the time they were given).
